# Catenda{linebreak}{linebreak}Catenda is a Norwegian startup company that started as a spin-off from SINTEF Building and Infrastructure, looking at why productivity in the construction industry had remained unchanged for so many decades. {linebreak}{linebreak}We believe in making information more available through open standards, from inception, through planning, design and construction onto the maintenance of a building. In the early days, everyone did everything. Then as we started to hire a few people, all the extra jobs outside of "regular work" - fell to our CEO, John. Now, as the company has grown a lot further, John is spread pretty thin and needs help managing and organising the logistics of running a remote company. That's what this role is all about!{linebreak}{linebreak}The Operations Manager role is a diverse one. At a regular company this might be referred to as something like "Office Manager" — but as a remote company, we don't actually have an office. Instead, we've got a different set of challenges which are reasonably unique to the type of business we've built.{linebreak}{linebreak}Primarily, the Operations Manager role has two core focuses: Organising team logistics to make Ghost a great place to work, and assisting John directly by helping to fill gaps in the company wherever things need doing.{linebreak}{linebreak}That said, this is a startup, so you should expect your role to extend to various parts of the business, as well as experiments and adhoc projects long the way. We're still a small team, so you'll be able to see - and contribute to - every part of the business from top to bottom.{linebreak}{linebreak}# Responsibilities{linebreak} * 🤗 Help to hire + onboard new employees, measure and improve team happiness, implement policies (PTO, parental leave, etc.), and administer payroll, benefits, and reimburse expenses.{linebreak}* ✈️ Research, organise, book, and project-manage our 9-day international team retreats every 6 months: Arranging everything from travel and accommodation, to daily schedules and supplies.{linebreak}* ❤️ Plan and implement useful systems and activities to help everyone stay organised, and foster camaraderie between our remote team mates.{linebreak}* 💸 Handle accounts receivable/payable and help teams with various administrative tasks.{linebreak}* ⚖️ Be responsible for efficient meetings, workflows, documentation, and support for new tools we implement in the company. {linebreak}* 📬 Do some customer support and assist our users directly whenever there are gaps in our global support cover which need extra help.{linebreak}* 💬 Be the go-to person for questions from the Ghost Team regarding company policies and procedures.{linebreak}* 🐙 Assist John directly (and occasionally other team members) to allow them to be more productive, and better manage their time + workload. {linebreak}{linebreak}# Requirements{linebreak}**Obsessively organised.** This is the heart of the whole job, so we're on the lookout for someone who is already fantastic at organisation - and will be able to raise the bar of our overall organisational competence. {linebreak}{linebreak}**A creative problem solver.** Someone who can get things done even when there's no immediately obvious answer or process for how to do them - and is happy to take responsibility for delivering.{linebreak}{linebreak}**A people person.** This is definitely a role suited to a broadly extrovert / ENFJ type personality. You need to be great at understanding our team members, what motivates them, and what makes them tick. Empathy++{linebreak}{linebreak}**A great writer.** Not only does this role involve a lot of writing, but as a remote team writing is our primary form of communication. Clear, concise communication in native English is an absolute must for this role.{linebreak}{linebreak}**Tech savvy.** Ghost is a software company and, while this role doesn't require any specific technical or coding skills, it does require someone who is proficient and comfortable within that environment. We speak tech, and we work on tech, so it's heavily reflected in everything we do - and the tools that we use.{linebreak}{linebreak}**Independent.** You'll have quick team meetings each week as well as regular 1:1s with your manager, but beyond that it's up to you to get things done. All teams at Ghost operate autonomously, so you'll be expected to get things done without being directed. A background in contracting or freelancing can be a big help. {linebreak}{linebreak}This role would be particularly suited to someone with a background as an Executive Assistant who is looking to take on a broader role with more autonomy and independence, working remotely from anywhere in the world. It would also be very suited to digital nomads looking for a meaningful long-term role which can travel with them.{linebreak}{linebreak}We don't mind where you're based or what hours you work, but this role does require a bit of schedule-flexibility, as you'll need some working hours overlap with John at all times, and he tends to move around quite a bit.{linebreak}{linebreak}We value diversity of all types at Ghost and our team is made up of a kind, thoughtful group of people with a wide range of backgrounds. We have as many people who speak German as we do English and our engineering team contains as many women as it does men. Some of us are single, others are married, while others are parents. We actively try to find people with different perspectives and experiences to the ones we already have. {linebreak}{linebreak}#Location{linebreak}- Worldwide

{linebreak}Elite Digital is a small company of 25 employees specializing in the sale of media through online channels. We work behind the scenes to sell millions of different products around the world. If you've ever bought a rare book or cd through Amazon, you probably bought it from us.{linebreak}{linebreak}We've been in the industry for more than 10 years, so we are an established company but we still have that scrappy startup spirit. We currently have a single developer handling our entire system, which consists of 150k lines of Perl running on 50 machines.{linebreak}{linebreak}Your primary role will be leading strategic development efforts and guiding the evolution of our systems. Your secondary role will be assisting with operational support (occasionally after-hours). You will wear many hats in this position: project manager, system administrator, architect, devops, software developer, and more. You'll have the opportunity to tackle some challenging analytical and architectural problems at scale. You'll get to make the big decisions and your work will have a visible impact on the bottom line, every day.{linebreak}{linebreak}This is a 100% telecommute position, but candidates must be located in the US, ideally in the Los Angeles area. We especially like people who can show us their contributions on GitHub, StackOverflow, or CPAN.

MISSION: To pioneer the future of couple care for the masses: to pioneer the next stage of technology after dating sites. Whereas Match.com helps millions of couples each year get together, we will become the app platform of choice to help those millions and millions more stay and grow together. Eventually, we will be the platform of choice for optimizing all two-person relationships. (I also own for example, Parentteenwise.com){linebreak}{linebreak}By digitizing & hence democratizing the best tools of cognitive behavioral therapy, and eventually other effective modalities; tapping the wisdom of the best therapists and also the wisest couples; and through use of our own inventions especially in the engagement dimension, our web-based app (soon we hope to be mobile friendly) we will provide engaging, personalizable, therapeutically effective & science-based software to save and/or revitalize virtually all couples at almost all stages of their development.{linebreak}{linebreak}VISION: To be the future of couplecare—democratizing the most effective tools of couple therapy, hitherto available only to the privileged few, & making them available to anyone, regardless of class, with a smart phone, in other words millions of couples in North America alone. And finally, after 25 years of explosive technological growth, to apply technology to arguably the main non-material predictor of human happiness: How well we love and are loved by those closest to us.{linebreak}{linebreak}#1 Responsibility: The most important &urgent duty will be to find a minimum of $110k funding with a minimum $2.5MM valuation within the first 3-5mos. We have only one more hurdle to overcome to get real traction (based on much learning from 100s of couples over past years of R&D & beta testing--longest of any startup in this space. We expect 5000 users by July{linebreak}{linebreak}We have all the materials 90-100% ready for you to raise that funding. {linebreak}{linebreak}Must be willing to put skin in the game or have interested partner investor. Founding CEO willing to totally give up reins. {linebreak}{linebreak}#Salary{linebreak}150000 - 250000{linebreak} {linebreak}{linebreak}#Equity{linebreak}150000 - 250000{linebreak} {linebreak}{linebreak}#Location{linebreak}- San Francisco

{linebreak}The Lead Developer for our college readiness skills learning support system, called JUICE, will have a unique opportunity to own the MEAN technology stack and software development for an innovative tutorial learning system we’re creating for College for America (CfA)  at Southern New Hampshire University.  CfA is an online, radically affordable, competency-based program for underserved working adults. We’ve been nationally recognized for innovation and received a 4-year First in the World grant from the US Department of Education to design and develop a fully online competency-based learning system to support students’ foundational college readiness skills in an entirely new way. We’re completing the learning design phase now, we have a key technology partner on board for educational game design, and we’re looking for the right senior software engineer with great experience who is looking for an opportunity to own application development for this new learning technology. We work as a small, cross-functional team within a very friendly group of creative, smart educators at College for America. We work remotely as well as onsite here in the Manchester office.{linebreak}{linebreak}JUICE is being developed in a Cloud-based, modular architecture based on the MEAN stack (MongoDB-Express-AngularJS-Node.js) for delivery of the learning experiences.  JUICE technology makes ample use of open source software and low-initial investment services. JUICE is designed for longer-term growth within CfA following the research phase, and is also designed for extensibility and open sharing as part of the Department of Education’s First in The World (FITW) program goals. JUICE development includes an LTI-based integration with the CfA learning management system. The JUICE production environment will support a randomized control trial study, while continuing development for a full product launch following completion of the study.{linebreak}{linebreak}The Lead Developer is the primary software engineer and oversees the work of key external partners for development of mini-games, widgets, or content authoring tools. The Lead Developer consults with a Senior Technology Advisor on strategy, software architecture, and system operations. The Senior Developer reports to the Deputy Director of JUICE and works in a small, fast-paced cross-functional team as a key partner in all aspects of designing and building, creating interactive learning content experiences, conducting efficacy research, and delivering the JUICE learning system. {linebreak}{linebreak}Working remotely within North America is an option, but we cannot consider employees overseas, unfortunately.{linebreak}{linebreak}This position is also posted on the Southern New Hampshire University website at https://snhu.peopleadmin.com/postings/14754. SNHU is a great college to work for, as shown by our high ranking in The Chronicle of Higher Education’s “Great Colleges to Work for 2014” survey!

At AlemHealth, we're providing access to high quality diagnostic healthcare in countries with the largest healthcare shortages. This includes places like Afghanistan, Iraq, Myanmar, Somaliland, and other places where Wikitravel’s restaurant recommendations are relatively limited. We’re looking for someone to join our team that can provide us with strategic and analytical support on the countries we currently operate in and the countries we’re looking to grow into. In addition, there may be travel, so adding to our internal wiki of restaurant recommendations may be required. {linebreak}{linebreak}We're looking for someone who can do, or learn to do very quickly, all of the following:{linebreak}{linebreak}Operational analytics support – helping us develop our evolving list of KPIs, and more importantly, drilling down from our KPIs to understand the root causes behind the numbers. We need to constantly learn from our hospitals and patients, understanding what drives usage of our services, and how we can improve our product with them in mind. {linebreak}{linebreak}Market entry analytical support – there are no shortage of countries and cities that lack adequate healthcare. We want to offer our service in as many as possible, but need to do so in a strategic and orderly fashion. As such, you’ll be tasked with supporting our new market entry strategies with data that accurately describes the attractiveness of new markets based on both past experience and future hypotheses.{linebreak}{linebreak}Visualization support – all of this analysis is no good is we can’t easily track and incorporate it into our decision making.
