**About GooseChase**\n\nGooseChase is a rapidly growing, fully remote web and mobile platform for creating and facilitating scavenger hunts. Through our website, organizers create custom "hunts" for anything from on-boarding new employees, touring museums, engaging at festivals, educating students and more! Participants can compete as teams or individuals to submit photo/video, text or GPS based missions through our native Android and iOS apps.\n\nThe key aspects of our platform are:\n\n* Game Manager (Web): The game manager is where game organizers create and manage their scavenger hunt games. We have an incredible number of different use cases for our platform, with various levels of organizer experience, making this a crucial interface for us to get right!\n* iOS & Android Apps: When someone participates in a GooseChase, they do so using our native mobile applications. The primary flows here are (i) finding & joining the right game, (ii) completing the missions via photos, videos, text responses & GPS check-ins, and (iii) staying up to date & engaged in the game via direct messages, announcements and bonuses from the game organizer. People can get very competitive when playing, so creating a seamless experience that doesn’t get in the way makes a big difference.\n\nBecause of the flexibility and ease-of-use of our product, we have successfully powered game types ranging from festival-wide competitions, with thousands of dollars in prizes, to K-12 classroom lessons on government types, featuring gummy bears to help demonstrate the differences between a dictatorship and a democracy! \n\nSeeing the different ways the product can be used, and the joy it creates in those who participate is an incredibly rewarding experience & is something we’d love to share with you as well! You'll also be having a major impact as our apps have been responsible for ~10M submissions in the last year alone!\n\n**Perks**\n\n* Fully remote work - work whenever/wherever/however you want.\nCompetitive compensation & benefits, including stipends for equipment, co-working spaces, etc.\n* Join a company that is profitable & growing quickly, but still prioritizes doing the right thing above all else.\n* Significant learning opportunities - whether it’s learning about other parts of the business or taking on more responsibility, we expect everyone on the team to be continually looking to grow.\n\n\n\n# Responsibilities\n We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to work with our Lead Product Designer as part of our growing design team. You’ll have the opportunity to research & create new, exciting features for our game organizers & participants. You will work closely with our customers and collaborate with our product & revenue teams to ensure we’re building the right thing in a beautiful, usable way. \n\nSpecific responsibilities include:\n\n* Being familiar and up-to-date with existing platform functionality and the use cases our customers have for those features.\n* Taking ownership of ideas all the way from the initial prototype phase to the final high-fidelity mockups phase and conducting the required customer & internal stakeholder research to get there.\n* Participating as an integral member of the product team - we’re looking for someone who will readily work with the engineering team to understand existing design patterns for cost-effective development, while still prioritizing user delight! \n* Collaborating with the marketing team to create and design a mesmerizing story that immerses our customers in their journey through the product.\n* Working under limited supervision with significant latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.\n \n\n# Requirements\nThe candidate for this position must have:\n* 3+ years of product or UI/UX design experience.\n* A strong portfolio that highlights your ability to take concepts & turn them into highly usable, beautiful designs that achieve the desired business goals.\n* An ability to take ownership of work, maintaining high standards of design quality despite limited supervision.\n* Experience with standard design tools such as Sketch, Invision, etc. \n* Excellent written & verbal communication skills - as you may be occasionally writing customer-facing copy, there’s a strong preference for native or near-native fluency in English.\n* Regular working hours within the UTC-8 (PST) to UTC+2 (CEST) time zones to ensure sufficient overlap with our distributed product team.\n\nAlthough not required, it would be a big plus if the candidate:\n* Had past experience working with smaller teams, especially in a remote setting.\n* A passion for great stories! \n\n\n#Location\nUtc-8 to Utc+2 (Americas/europe/africa)

Join Better. A small, remote team of passionate web and app developers that are changing the world through code. We partner with some exciting startups that are redefining healthcare, education and more. You can learn more about our agency and projects on [our website](https://withbetter.com/)\n\nThis is an application for an ongoing contract, remote designer role. The minimum hours required is 16 hours per week. However, we can offer up to 32 hours per week of ongoing work. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who is looking for a flexible job with a lot of freedom. Or someone who is looking to augment and extend their consulting work with a stable ongoing contract. \n\nAll work is asynchronous first, work whenever, however you want. Rarely have to do a real time meeting. You'll be implementing projects paired with developers. A very unique opportunity to iterate quickly and get designs in the world fast.\n\nCurrently we only have one designer / developer on the team and we have a backlog of features and designs that need work. \n\n### About the job\nDay to day is grabbing a user story, doing the research to understand the context and provide user interface recommendations to the development team. Then, work with the development team to refine those ideas continuously. As an agency we work with lots of different product spaces and verticals. Healthcare, education and more across the Web and Mobile. \n* All project specific communication is done through Github, ideally you have direct experience with it although this doesn’t disqualify you. We can help you learn that. \n* Most other company communication happens through our slack channel. \nYou’ll have at least an every other week 1:1 that’s real time with your team lead. \n* Lots of collaboration, mockups and prototyping back and forth with project managers and developers. \n* We don’t have great design processes in place, it’s something we need some help with. \n* Currently all of our designs are in Sketch - you’ll need to be competent in sketch, however we are thinking of transiting to figma in the future to facilitate collaboration. \n* We lean heavily on CSS frameworks like Bootstrap. Ideally you have a solid understanding of component based design systems ([example](https://blog.bitsrc.io/building-a-consistent-ui-design-system-4481fb37470f)), however, this doesn’t disqualify you. \n* You don’t need to know any code, but any technical or code knowledge could prove helpful in your day to day job. At least an understanding of how HTML and CSS work to make recommendations the development team can understand and implement. \n\n### About you\nWe need people who have strong intrinsic motivation to build great things. Managers of One is a concept we really embrace that comes from Basecamp. We need people who are always learning, excited to solve hard problems and always eager to do great work. Ideally someone who has experience in: \n* Direct experience or training in Designing WebApps and Mobile Apps. \n* This is primarily a user experience design position, although there may be some small more graphic design driven projects. (Re-working logos, help with marketing), although this would be the exception. \n\n### Pay & benefits\nThis is an ongoing part time hourly contract position. \n* Pay will start at $30 / hr.\n* As a result there is no health or other traditional benefits. \n* However, we do offer online course sponsorship and we'll buy you ebooks that will help you be a better designer through our learning + book club. \n* As well, we offer time off bonuses that accrue at a rate of 5%. Works out to roughly 2 paid weeks a year. It’s nice to be able to take a paid day or a week off even when you are a contractor. \n\n\n# Responsibilities\n See Description \n\n# Requirements\nSee Description \n\n#Salary\n$30 /hr\n

There is always a budget for good ideas. \n\n* You use the right tool for the job, if it's Android Studio, Gradle, Github, Xcode, Instruments, it does not matter what you use, as long as it gets the job done. Boom. \n\n\n\n\nWhat we have worked on last quarter\n\n\n* The first mobile app for Coolblue. It is still a secret, you will find it out soon. Both iOS and Android will be released. \n\n* Write reusable classes in Swift. Still work in progress though. \n\n* Testing. \n\n\n\n\nWhat a day in the office might look like\nToday is the big day. The final sprint before launch of the first Coolblue app ever is finalized and the app is now ready for demo. Hard work, but fun too. The weeks leading up to the launch have been hectic. The app is practically done. You and your team have worked hard to get it done. A lot of details and footwork to sort out. But now it's finally out there. You take a deep breath, knowing you've produced a good basis for this project. Time to show it to the company. Let the demo begin!

The next chapter of The Web:\n\nWith Tim Berners-Lee's World Wide Web turning 25 in 2014, I am looking to contribute towards the next chapter of the internet by making the world accessible just as the web made the internet accessible.\n\nDo you want to be part of something global? Do you want to shape the future of the internet?\n\nI am looking for an experienced CTO / Lead mobile developer who can scale our product exponentially.\n\nYour role will be vital to the growth of the platform. You will have the opportunity to lead our global transformation.\n\nYour work will shape the future of the world and so with great power comes great responsibility.\n\nAt this stage you will be compensated with an equity stake in the company.\n\nWhat if we could access the world?\n\nOne of the problems I have with the internet is context and reach.\n\nHow do you empower the ordinary person in a way that they could access and reach any corner of the world?\n\nHow do you make sense of the many different things in life and on the internet in relationship to you?\n\nWhat if we could organise and access the world?\n\nGeorical spawns from how I have always imagined the essence of the web/internet to be; a digital version of the real world, something that organised the world and gave anyone boundless access to it.\n\nIt’s an idea that aims to touch the entire digital ecosystem by organising the world and the internet.\n\nGeorical aims to let you access the world via the Centerlink, like the World Wide Web lets you access the internet. Georical allows anyone to transcend anywhere in the world essentially through an advanced network of intelligence, information and content at a macro and micro level of interaction.\n\nAn initial version of Georical recently landed on the Apple app store in November (2014). \n\n#Salary\n$1,000 — $12,000\n \n\n#Equity\n5.0 - 15.0\n\n\n#Location\nLondon
