Remote Lead Site Reliability Engineer
What youโll do\n\n\n\nBecome part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:\n\n\n* Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of the overall cloud infrastructure platform using modern IaC (Infrastructure as Code) practices.\n\n* Work closely with software development and systems integration teams to build end-to-end solutions.\n\n* Design and build infrastructure utilizing container orchestration such as EKS/K8S\n\n* Help choose and select managed cloud services that meet the needs of the platform engineering team to support software development goals\n\n* Design and build CICD tools, automation, and practices to enable agile and secure software deployments.\n\n* Design and implement cloud infrastructure components, ensuring high availability, reliability, scalability, and performance.\n\n* Implement monitoring solutions to proactively identify and address potential issues.\n\n* Implement logging solutions to facilitate efficient troubleshooting and analysis.\n\n* Collaborate with security teams to ensure the platform meets industry standards and compliance requirements.\n\n* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and QA engineers to ensure robust and reliable systems.\n\n* Lead engineers in designing, building, and maintaining all infrastructure, site reliability, and engineering productivity systems.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLocation & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events occasionally. We will consider remote applicants for this role. This role is not eligible for remote work in New York City. Applicants should expect that the role may require the need to convene with colleagues in person. You will also bring these important aspects to your work:\n\n\n* Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field or equivalent work experience.\n\n* 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience as a Platform, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineer, System Architect, or software engineer with a focus on platform systems.\n\n* Proficient in building automation using languages such as Python, Shell, Ruby, and others.\n\n* Strong experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).\n\n* Strong experience with Application Performance Management or Monitoring Systems (e.g., DataDog, New Relic, Prometheus, SignalFX)\n\n* Ability to provide best practices for telemetry metrics using tools such as OpenTelemtry, and creating SLIs and SLOs\n\n* Strong experience with log aggregation systems (ELK, Splunk, DataDog)\n\n* Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab Pipelines, Harness.io, ArgoCD).\n\n* Expert knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.\n\n* Expert Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi, or CDK).\n\n* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. When a problem occurs, you run towards it not away.\n\n* Effective communication and collaboration skills. You treat colleagues with respect.
