Brought into the Addepar family as part of an acquisition in 2021, Addepar has continued to double down on investing in this critical add-on, as we've scaled well beyond the multi-million ARR goal first set for this product line.\n\nAs we continue to scale, a need has opened up for a hands-on Engineering Manager who would bring to bear their unique expertise with the existing Engineering team, with exciting opportunities to extend the scope for this role longer term, as the product continues to push onward into future global expansion mode.\n\nAddepar takes a market-based approach to pay. A successful candidateโ€™s starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Additionally, these ranges reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.\nWhat Youโ€™ll Do\n\n\n* Lead a team of 3+ remote/onsite engineers with a mixed tenure level, applying well-thought out management techniques for driving performance and scaling the group.\n\n* Collaborate multi-functionally with product owners, designers, GTM teams, program managers and other Engineering leads to deliver for our clients.\n\n* Longer term: expand your skills to include managing into a global engineering organization, with opportunities for wider responsibilities related to the expansion of the team into a truly 24/7 global operation.\n\n\n\n\nOur engineering stack is primarily composed of a Python backend with a React frontend; experience in these technologies is preferred, although there is some flexibility to learn on more in-depth around these technologies on the job.\nWho You Are \n\n\n* 7+ years experience as a professional software engineer with at least 2+ years leading successful teams. You write code, architect, and design systems to improve automation throughout our technology stack.\n\n\n\nResponsibilities:\n* Ability to work on several large projects with multiple dependencies across teams.\n* Mentor and develop the members of your team from a technical perspective.\n* Design and implement a secure and reliable logging and monitoring infrastructure using modern, scalable tools.\n* Develop custom dashboards, alerts, and data visualizations to provide real-time insights into our systems' health and performance.\n* Collaborate with engineering teams to identify areas for improvement in our systems and processes.\n* Monitor system performance, diagnose problems, and implement solutions.\n* Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in observability tools as well as container orchestration solutions.\n\n\n\nQualifications:\n* Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Computer Science or a minimum of 5+ years experience developing and working on highly scalable infrastructure as a Software Engineer, Systems Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer.\n* Hands-on experience with programming languages such as; Python, Shell Scripting, Go, or similar languages.\n* Strong knowledge of OpenTelemetry and its implementation in various programming languages.\n* Experience with Elasticsearch and Grafana, including building dashboards, creating alerts, and data visualizations.\n* Experience with Veneur, Fluentd, and Kubernetes is preferred.\n* Experience with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS preferred).\n\n\n\n\n\nThe expected base salary range for this position is $191,300 to $258,700.\n\n\n#LI-AC1\n\n\nUltimately, in determining your offer, we will take into consideration your geographic location, relevant experience and expertise, and other job-related factors.
