We are looking for US-based Senior and Staff level engineers to join our team. Base salary range is $140,000 to $200,000. These are fully remote positions. Read on to learn more!

About Us
Close is a bootstrapped, profitable, 100% remote, ~90 person team of thoughtful individuals who value autonomy and impact. Weโ€™re eager to make a product our customers fall in love with over and over again.

We โค๏ธ startups & SMBs. Since 2013, weโ€™ve been building a CRM ย that focuses on better communication, without the hassle of manual data entry or complex UI. Our goal: double the productivity of every sales rep.

Our backend tech stack currently consists primarily of Python Flask web apps with our TaskTiger scheduler handling many of the backend asynchronous task processing chores. Our data stores include MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and Redis. The underlying infrastructure runs on AWS using a combination of managed services like EKS, MSK, RDS and ElasticCache and non-managed services running on EC2 instances. All of our compute runs through CI/CD pipelines that build Docker images, run automated tests and deploy to our Kubernetes clusters. Our backend primarily serves a well-documented public API that our front-end JavaScript app consumes. Our infrastructure is heavily automated using Terraform, Ansible and other AWS tools.

Our product development process is inspired byย Shape Up. Weโค๏ธ open sourcing our code and ideas on our GitHub and onThe Making of Close, our behind-the-scenes Product & Engineering blog. Check out our projects like SocketShark, TaskTiger, LimitLion and ciso8601.

We have impressive tenure amongst the team; we stay at Close because we love working with our colleagues, we appreciate the autonomy and we thrive in an environment that challenges us to do our best work.

Unanimously, our favorite value is โ€œBuild a house you want to live in.โ€ We make decisions that are rooted in helping our customers become more successful. We care equally about the health of our business and the wellbeing of our people.ย

Our application process was designed to promote equitable and unbiased hiring practices. We ask a small series of questions that are similar to what would be asked in the first interview. This helps us learn more about you right from the start so please be sure to answer each question thoughtfully. Each application will receive two screens by two different reviewers. Regardless of fit, you will hear back from us letting you know if we'll be moving forward.

While we are excited by all the opportunities that generative AI has unlocked, we request that you refrain from relying on AI tools when completing an application. We ask these questions because we want to get to know you, your experience, and your communication style. All responses are read closely by multiple humans and any obviously AI generated applications will be disregarded.

Hightouch is hiring a
Remote Software Engineer Frontend

About Hightouch\n\nHightouchโ€™s mission is to empower everyone to take action on their data. Through our Reverse ETL platform, business and data users can seamlessly sync data from where it resides, such as warehouses and databases, to where it is needed, including operational systems and SaaS tools. Traditionally, acting on data has required engineering time and bandwidth, and left most business users stuck with charts and reports that are unable to take automated action on their data. With Hightouch, every business user, without writing any code, can activate data to streamline critical processes, improve marketing performance, and scale operations.\n\nOur team operates with a focus on making a meaningful impact for our customers. We believe in approaching challenges with a first principles thinking mindset, moving quickly and embracing our value of efficient execution, and treating each other with compassion and kindness. We look for team members that are strong communicators, have a growth mindset, and are motivated and persistent in achieving our goals.\n\nHundreds of companies use Hightouch, including Spotify, Ramp, Retool, NBA, Plaid, and Betterment. Weโ€™re based in San Francisco, are remote-friendly, and backed by leading investors such as Amplify Partners, ICONIQ Growth, Bain Capital Ventures, Y-Combinator, and Afore Capital.\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are looking for a senior frontend engineer with deep experience in developing production-ready applications and a passion for building a great user experience.\n\nAs a part of our growing frontend team, you will collaborate closely with our product and design teams to plan, build, and launch new products like Identity Resolution and Match Booster from start to finish. Examples of projects that youโ€™ll lead include:\n\n\n* Observability & alerting: As customers of Hightouch grow in size and complexity (often large enterprises with hundreds of syncs), we are exploring interfaces to allow data and marketing teams to observe, debug, and alert on data pipeline issues at a glance.\n\n* Visual audience builder: Weโ€™re constantly thinking about how we can extend our visual audience builder to accommodate increasingly complex marketing campaigns. This project will help you acquire a deep understanding of the marketing persona and the role user segmentation plays in their day-to-day workflow.\n\n* Event collection features: With the launch of our event collection product, help build features that will allow users to enforce data correctness within their event stream.\n\n* Hightouch UI: As our team grows, weโ€™re evolving our frontend design system to be more reusable and developer-friendly.\n\n\n\n\nAs a key member of the frontend team, you will also play a crucial role in shaping best practices within our engineering organization. You will have the opportunity to mentor other frontend engineers, make important technical decisions, and establish the standard for our user experience. While this is a senior role, we prioritize impact and potential for growth over years of experience.\nCompensation\n\nHightouch offers a salary range of $170,000 - $240,000 USD per year for this position. Your compensation will be determined based on our assessment of your interview performance and will be discussed with you by your hiring manager when you receive an offer.\n\nSalary is just one component of Hightouchโ€™s total compensation package for employees.
