Reporting to the Director of Mining Services the Field Network Engineer will travel throughout the United States to Foundryโs mining sites to automate, improve, and optimize Foundryโs Network. \n\nThis is a rare invitation to join a small, highly professional entrepreneurial group, with the backing of the most established player in the fast-growing crypto space. \n\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: \n\n\n* Requires full-time travel across the United States\n\n* Responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of network equipment at Foundryโs mining sites \n\n* Working directly with the Infrastructure and Mining leadership team, look for new ways to automate, improve, and optimize Foundryโs Network \n\n* Proactively identify and develop solutions/resolutions to improve the overall functionality of Foundryโs network services \n\n* Create custom reports to identify areas of improvement \n\n* Maintain communication to ensure accountability is clear and expectations are established \n\n* Utilize ticketing system to document work performed so that we can analyze trends in reported issues \n\n* Create scripts to automate tasks and optimize efficiency \n\n* Liaise with engineering team to remediate issues with internal systems \n\n* Fulfill project implementation tasks as assigned \n\n\n\n\nABOUT YOU: \n\nMinimum Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities\n\n\n* Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field with 3+ years of IT experience (hardware support and Linux Server Administration) \n\n* Detail oriented, ability to follow established policies and procedures \n\n* Excellent verbal and written communication skills \n\n* \n Ability to evolve and quickly learn new technologies \n\n\n* Experience using Wireshark and NMAP \n\n* Scripting knowledge in Bash, Python, and other languages \n\n* VPN setup and maintenance experience \n\n* Understanding of Networking protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, WAN, LAN, WLAN, SNMP\n\n* Knowledge in routing (BGP, OSPF), switching, wireless, and firewall related configurations\n\n* Experience with implementing and managing a certificate Authority for PKI\n\n* Solid understanding of the TCP/IP network stack and OSI model \n\n* \n Ability to think outside the box \n\n\n* Collaboration mindset \n\n* Desire to learn \n\n* Attention to detail a must\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities\n\n\n* Interest/Experience in cryptocurrency and/or Blockchain \n\n* Certification in network and security disciplines a plus\n\n* Documentation experience, especially diagraming complete network topologies\n\n\n\n\nA range of compensation is provided for transparency, however different factors may affect this range. Some of these factors may include (but are not limited to) education, training, credentials, skills, geographic location, and experience.
