You'll have the freedom to shape our front-end direction, maintaining high-quality standards and pushing the boundaries of design and usability.\n\nTHE DAY-TO-DAY\n\n\n* Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable front-end applications for both web and mobile platforms.\n\n* Drive the implementation of user interfaces in collaboration with UX/UI designers, optimizing for an exceptional user experience.\n\n* Provide technical leadership in front-end development, guiding and mentoring junior team members.\n\n* Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications remain at the forefront of innovation.\n\n* Ensure high code quality through best practices, code reviews, and continuous integration.\n\n* Implement and maintain a robust testing framework, encompassing unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests to ensure the reliability and functionality of front-end applications.\n\n* Optimize application performance for a seamless and responsive user experience.\n\n* Work closely with UX/UI designers to implement visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces.\n\n* Communicate effectively with back-end developers, the product team, and other stakeholders to integrate front-end and back-end functionalities seamlessly.\n\n* Identify and address technical challenges, proposing innovative solutions to optimize application performance and usability.\n\n\n\n\nWHAT MAKES YOU QUALIFIED\n\n\n* 4-6 years of experience working in front-end development (preferably with startup experience) with a strong portfolio of projects demonstrating expertise in React and React Native.\n\n* Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.\n\n* Use of the following technologies on a daily basis:\n\n\n\n* Python / Flask\n\n* JavaScript / TypeScript\n\n* PostgreSQL\n\n* Vue.js, React, React Native\n\n* Google Cloud Platform (GCP)\n\n* Google Cloud Functions, Google Cloud Run\n\n* Netlify\n\n\n\n* Nice-to-haves\n\n\n\n* Vue.js\n\n* TypeScript\n\n* Google Cloud\n\n* Python/Flask experience\n\n\n\n* Experience with state management libraries and RESTful API integration.\n\n* Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks (such as Jest, Mocha, Cypress) for both web and mobile platforms, demonstrating a commitment to high-quality, bug-free user experiences.\n\n* Strong understanding of responsive design principles.\n\n* Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\n\n* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under tight deadlines.\n\n* Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment and contribute to a positive and collaborative culture.\n\n* Proactive and solution-forward, bias for action.\n\n* Ability to drive forward work independently while communicating and working across functions.\n\n* Passion for engineering and doing quality work.\n\n* Experience working on high-scale, production-grade projects.\n\n* Experience working on a scrum team and understanding agile methodologies of software development. \n\n\n\n\nYou will report to AKKO's Senior Cloud Ops Engineer. The position disclosed is a contract position looking to be filled immediately.
