**Here are some key items to consider:**\n* Workflow and processes are one of the most important things in development\n* Certifications is the one of the most important things and I have them all\n* I like to join any technical discussions even those w/o real outcome for a product\n* I used to change companies a lot\n* I like tech-stack superiority wars, I always win (obviously)\n* I think I’m the smartest person in the company and everybody should be grateful for having a chance to work with me\n* I would put architecture in the first place above the product, common sense and everything else, period!\n* I find it very stressful when somebody touches my code\n* I like to write long emails describing my vision to everybody\n* I value boring but stable work environment over the opportunity to grow \n* I don’t believe management can understand my vision that is why I gave up sharing it\n* Being small gear in an enterprise mechanism is what I like\n\n**For good or bad we don’t have any of these, here is what we have:**\n* Environment of open minded people focused on solving real world problems\n* Team that values every member\n* “Complex over complicated”\n* Creating the best product possible that moves the needle and brings innovations to live\n* We proud of how we do things but even more about what we do\n* No finger pointing and blaming except for git blaming :)\n\n\n*Exciting part:*\nOur product gives an opportunity to more than 100 enterprise clients to focus on things that matters for them and not technology behind it! At the moment total monthly audience is 90M. That means it's always going to be an opportunity to help somebody out there by building new things.\n\nOur applications are build with Python, JavaScript (es6+), variety of frameworks as well as vanilla, Node.js, MongoDB, Redis, MySQL, Memcached\nOur product is cloud-native and relies on services provided by AWS. We make sure that the platform is robust and reliable enough to cover the needs of every single customer. EC2, Kubernetes - sounds familiar? We also use Docker, Istio, Prometheus, Grafana and some other fancy stuff\n \n\n# Requirements\n* Good grasp of functional and/or OOP design\n* Strong experience with Python/NodeJS\n* Understanding networking (http, tcp etc., as well as async io)\n* Frontend and backend performance optimizations\n* Positive attitude :)\n\n**As a good plus:**\n* experience with ReactJS\n* performance optimization for MongoDB, Redis and MySQL\n* experience with microservices concepts\n* DevOps skills\n* basic HTML/CSS knowledge \n\n#Location\n🌏 Worldwide

\nHelm believes that a more equitable world will be built by people with organizing superpowers. To achieve this vision, we are building one seamless and intuitive platform that integrates data, tools, and experiences to give anyone those superpowers. We are designing and executing experiments to better understand human civic behavior, determine which interventions drive impact, and scale them toward a more participatory democracy. Our customers are organizations engaged in political and social advocacy that drive big change over the long-term using a portfolio of strategies on a multi-partisan basis. Most importantly, our customers believe that people organizing in their communities are the ultimate agents of durable change.\n\nHelm is looking for a Lead Data Engineer to build out our expanding data infrastructure. Our product has most recently been centered in the CRM space, but we are looking to change that. Currently, we process millions of data points through multiple data pipelines to feed into a suite of databases. We are preparing for 10x growth both in the volume of data processed and the speed in which that data can be available and actionable. To accomplish this we are looking for someone who can build out highly scalable data solutions.\n\nIssue advocates and organizers are our inspiration. Building with and for them is our mission. We are assembling a team that shares values with, learns alongside, and stands with the people who are doing the work to change the nation. So if you're highly motivated, super passionate about democracy, and want to join a team that is looking to build great things together, Helm may be for you. This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Director of Data Platform. Helm is a remote first company.\n\nWhat you’ll be doing\n\nYou will own the design and delivery of a large scale data platform. In doing so, we expect you will demonstrate thought leadership in data infrastructure, database design, data governance and data operations. CollegeVine is seeking an Elm or PureScript developer to help engineer inviting front-end experiences that have real social impact.\n\nAt CollegeVine, our mission is to level the playing field of higher education attainment, regardless of socioeconomic status. To do this, we intend to make virtual guidance services available and affordable for all through a combination of near-peer mentorship and technology. We have an unending list of interesting problems to solve: how to predict if someone will be a good mentor for a given student; how to manage tens of thousands of high-quality, ongoing human relationships simultaneously; how to ingest thousands of applications requirements and produce an optimal plan of attack—just to name a few.\n\nOur ideal candidate for this role satisfies three requirements:\n\n1. You have proven experience in Elm or PureScript (or even Haskell, F#, or OCaml, but want to apply your talents to the front-end) and want to get even better.\n\n2. You have a product-focused mindset; this means you prioritize business value and project delivery above academic interests related to the language.\n\n3. You are discerning about engineering culture. Some keywords for ours are growth-oriented, genuine, self-aware, pragmatic, autonomous, mindful, and remote-friendly.\n\nNote: We may have a more junior role available in the near future, but this one is not it! If you'd like to be considered for that role when it opens up, please apply for this one and note in your cover letter that you are interested in a junior role. We will add your resume to our database for future consideration.

\nOur platform team is responsible for maintaining and constantly evolving our technology platform from a UX, programming and devops perspective. Our core platform is based on AWS where we run a collection of Kubernetes clusters specific to each global region that we operate in.\n\nWe have three disciplines inside the platform team:\n\n* UX - how it works from the outside\n\n* Programming - how it works from the inside\n\n* Devops - how it lives and evolves in response to usage\n\n\n\nThis role is to increase our programming capacity. The team mainly uses Elixir and Elm. We also leverage the power of distributed Erlang to allow all of our applications to talk to each other in a dynamic and speedy way. If you don’t already know any of these technologies that’s fine. None of our team did when we started on this journey and the team here will support you through your learning.\n\nHaving recently completed a large internal re-development of our foundational platform to support our future growth we’re now returning to working using Scrum. We’ll be measuring the team’s success by the software we deliver and we’re very excited to put our new platform through it’s paces.\n\nWe’re working on some extremely exciting new products and as a member of the platform team, you will be playing a key role in delivering these.\n\nWe're also now making a solid effort to promote remote working as a first class thing. You'll be a part of the first batch of remote workers and we'd like you to help us get it right. For now though, we're limiting this to candidates inside the EU and USA.

\nWe are seeking a developer to build and support challenging applications. We really are working with great clients on projects to do the things in the job description. A few examples of current projects include:\n\n\n* Building an interface for a causal inference model built by leading bioinformatics researchers to provide personalized identification of cancer drivers.\n\n* Working with a world-class team to build an app / messaging system to help guide young adults to good health using (among other things) a machine learning-based recommender system.\n\n* Launching an e-commerce integration product (flowlink.io) that allows online retailers to easily automate away many of their most tedious tasks.\n\n* Building an app to help home health care providers up their game to meet Medicare's latest quality rating innovations.\n\n\n\n\nNuRelm provides a wide breadth of experience, plenty of room for professional growth, a fun workplace, and an environment that values the input of everyone on the team. We are looking for a smart person who loves the Web, who loves to learn, and who enjoys working on a variety of technologies / projects. We don't want somebody who just does what they're told, but somebody who truly loves to create and relishes a tricky challenge.\n\nBenefits:\n\nFull health coverage with prescription/dental/vision, paid vacation (3 weeks the first year, 4 weeks after the second, 5 weeks after 5 years), stock options, flexible schedules, telecommuting options (we telecommute 3 days a week and work from Cube Creative Space in East Liberty), gear allowance, frequent team building activities disguised as happy hour.\n\nDuties:\n\n\n* Develop, test, and support web and mobile app on a variety of platforms (Ruby on Rails, Meteor, AngularJS, Node.js).\n\n* Develop software through the entire software development lifecycle while adhering to agile methodologies.\n\n* Learn new tools and techniques for building great software.\n\n* Pick the right technology for the task at hand (rather than fitting the task into the technology we already know).\n\n* Willingness and aptitude to move seamlessly between multiple programming languages, frameworks, and platforms.\n\n* Bring your own expertise to share with the staff and add to your experience by learning from others in a collaborative environment.\n\n* DevOps work with client sites hosted under Linux (mostly) and Windows.\n\n\n

\nWe are looking for a great python developer to scale an awesome international team that contains developers from more than 20 countries. That's a posting for outside the USA, only remote. \n\nSome background about our team and you:\n\n\n* We don't like bureaucracy. You are allowed to discuss any issue with any from the team including our CEO\n\n* We push changes live a few times a day.\n\n* The tasks you would work on may be quick and simple or very long and complex. \n\n* Our setup is more than 100 servers in total. A few instances for mongo, mysql, redis, light frontends with nginx/varnish, heavy backends with uwsgi and django, a pool of servers for celery, EdgeCast cdn, etc. The servers are in AWS in 2 datacenters and 3 zones.\n\n* It's highly encouraged to show initiative and suggest new ideas. We understand that business goals come first but we try to keep our code clean\n\n* Your biggest responsibility as a developer is communication. \n\n* You care about how your work and attitude affects those around you. I mean really care. If you hurt someone, it hurts you. Everything you do runs through this filter.\n\n* Everyone knows that when you take on a task whether it’s huge and scary or tiny and boring, you’re going to see it through to the best of your ability.\n\n* You are humble enough to bend to the will of the frameworks, technologies, constraints, and people you work with when doing so won’t have a materially negative impact. In other words, you can play by someone else’s rules when that’s the easiest and/or best thing to do.\n\n* You make pragmatic (often boring) technology choices at work and you play in your free time. You don’t build science projects just because you are smart enough to build them.\n\n* You are confident enough that you don’t have to prove to anyone what a great developer you are, and therefore…\n\n* You don’t mind being the one that looks bad when you deserve it. You make mistakes sometimes, because you’re human, but rather than dwell on them you choose to fix and then learn from them.\n\n* You love to teach and learn from your co-workers.\n\n* Our js, slicing and sysadmin teams are always happy to help\n\n* We offer paid vacation, paid sick days and local holidays in your country\n\n* You have flexible working hours when it's most comfortable for you\n\n\n\n\nPlease send your resume to [email protected], along with a code sample (or even better, Github full of code samples) and brief explanation of your code.
