TalkJS is hiring a Remote Senior Full Stack Developer

**TalkJS**\n\nTalkJS lets developers build a perfect chat feature in just a few hours. We power communication in online marketplaces, community sites, trading platforms and so on.\n\nWe're product driven and we care tremendously about quality: We're out to build the tool that every developer worldwide will use to build chat/communication features. TalkJS touches millions of people and is growing quickly. \n\nWe're hiring smart & autonomous people to solve challenging problems. We think you ship your best work when you're happy, well-rested, have a healthy work/life balance, and get full autonomy to make the right calls. More info on [https://talkjs.com/jobs](https://talkjs.com/jobs).\n\n**Senior Fullstack Developer**\n\nWe want TalkJS to be the default tool for developers to build chat features. To accomplish that vision, we need to make TalkJS deliciously customizable and still fantastic out of the box.\n\nWe're looking to extend the team with someone who has broad front- and backend experience. Stack includes React/TypeScript/Elixir but it's OK if you're not experienced with all of those precisely. Our humble goal is to ship a product that's super simple to install, fantastic to use immediately, and infinitely customizable. Simple and customizable seem deeply at odds with each other, but we think we can pull it off. If you're up for the challenge of marrying the two, then this is for you.\n\nWe offer tremendous freedom and responsibility + work in a remarkably decent codebase (for a startup :D). At TalkJS we like to think that we're good at striking a balance between meticulous code and shipping quickly. If that sounds like your kind of environment, then this is for you.\n\n**Our ideal candidate:**\n\n* has broad technical interests\n* likes to design great APIs for other programmers\n* has demonstrable experience writing single-page web applications\n* has demonstrable experience writing backends\n* knows at least 3 programming languages well\n* likes to work together with the team to make our product better across the board\n\nBonus points if you know Elixir.\n\nSalary varies with seniority and is benchmarked to Dutch/Amsterdam norms. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n$50,000 — $90,000/year\n\n\n#Location\nCetΒ±2h (= Europe / Africa)

# Software Engineer (Mid / Senior Positions Open)\n## LeadSimple, Inc\n\nLeadSimple is a fully-remote, motivated team solving big problems in the property management industry. Bootstrapped since 2013, we're passionate about helping small businesses simplify growth and streamline operations, providing the leading CRM in our space. Engineering works closely with our Product and Success teams to discover and deliver features that will make a real difference in a product our customers use every day.\n\n**Tech Stack**\nIn 2019 we re-built our tech stack in a phased rewrite (rather than a big-bang project) to adopt React, Typescript, and Relay on the front-end, talking to a GraphQL API powered by Ruby on Rails. (We also have a side project written in Elixir.) We have experience refactoring a large codebase, so we seek to move fast without creating technical debt (test coverage is important). We practice continuous deployment, dividing work into weekly sprints.\n\n**Team**\nWe're a _fully remote team_ working across 6 time zones, and we make heavy use of Slack and Zoom for communication throughout the day. We value work/life balance and work at a sane pace, 40 hour weeks, Monday - Friday. Our engineering team currently maintains 2-3 hours of overlap with US Pacific Time, to facilitate collaboration.\n\nWe prioritize customer impact across the organization. Our Success and Product teams work closely with end users on a daily basis, using their feedback to refine our roadmap and assist Engineering in creating an exceptional product.\n\nWe're looking for motivated and productive team members to help accelerate progress on our roadmap. We're open to mid or senior roles at this time.\n\n## Mid-Level Software Engineer\n\nYou have a solid understanding of core engineering concepts, are able to master our tech stack, tools and processes, and become a productive contributor to new feature development.\n\nRequired Skills:\n* Experience with Ruby on Rails and 1 or more of our other core technologies: React, Typescript, RelayJS, GraphQL\n* Taking well-scoped components to completion within a reasonable time frame\n* Great communicator, asks questions, explains themselves, open to feedback\n* Proficient learner and problem solver\n* Cares for the end-user (see [The Product-Minded Engineer](https://blog.pragmaticengineer.com/the-product-minded-engineer/))\n\n[Apply Here](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeF5zo6hIcTQK8gP9LLGz6sTZMXGI1vDHPVbkpISxiy9CvOfQ/viewform?usp=pp_url&entry.473179885=Software+Engineer)\n\n## Senior Software Engineer\n\nYou are a rock-solid engineer with mastery of at least one domain. You can own technical design for projects of moderate complexity, understand trade-offs, debug systems in your domain, and write high quality code while getting a lot done. You're collaborative and an active contributor to product discovery conversations.\n\nRequired Skills:\n* Experience with 3 or more of our core technologies: React, Typescript, RelayJS, GraphQL, Ruby on Rails\n* Experience translating complex user stories into detailed requirements\n* Highly productive, moves fast without breaking things\n* Great collaborator, takes initiative, asks questions, explains themselves, open to feedback\n* Proficient learner and problem solver\n* Cares for the end-user (see [The Product-Minded Engineer](https://blog.pragmaticengineer.com/the-product-minded-engineer/))\n\n[Apply Here](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeF5zo6hIcTQK8gP9LLGz6sTZMXGI1vDHPVbkpISxiy9CvOfQ/viewform?usp=pp_url&entry.473179885=Senior+Software+Engineer)\n\n## Benefits\n\nBoth positions offer the following benefits:\n* Early Off Fridays (every other Friday afternoon off)\n* 3 Weeks Paid Vacation (in addition to the above, but includes local bank holidays)\n* Healthcare Allowance\n* Vacation Allowance\n\n\nSelected candidates will be invited to a 30-minute call, followed by a 90-minute structured interview to discuss your career and some technical questions related to your role.\n\nIf you enjoy owning the outcome for customers, influencing product, and honing your craft, we'd love to talk to you.\n\n[Apply Here](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeF5zo6hIcTQK8gP9LLGz6sTZMXGI1vDHPVbkpISxiy9CvOfQ/viewform) \n\n#Salary and compensation\n$50,000 — $100,000/year\n\n\n#Location\n🌏 Worldwide

We’re looking for skilled and seasoned Elixir engineers to join our small and cozy team that is focused on bringing value and we would really love to work with you if you share that mindset. Our company never had any VC’s involved and was profitable from day one for 6+ years by now so business value is not some β€œinvestors want this KPI”, but a real cash value for real customers. We are very stable and always have lot’s of work too :).\n\nBusiness-wise we’re building products that sit in between our clients and end customers. Right now it’s mostly about filling the gap of communicating with customers and selling online, but we are flexible and adjust quickly to changing environment. You can read a bit about culture but we believe it changes with each new team member.\n\nTech-wise this job may be a bit challenging because we have all good/new/shiny projects (Elixir+PostgreSQL+GKE) and some legacy in Ruby that would make you a little bit sad :), fortunately it’s in maintenance mode and we are not very far from shutting it down. BTW, our web apps are built with Phoenix SSR and sprinkles of Javascript using StimulusJS, which reflects our pragmatic culture - we want to move fast and have reliable software with as few moving parts as possible.\n\nWe’re offering $60-$80/hr+. We work as independent contractors. We have a flexible schedule and the work here is very different from a traditional 9-to-5 job. Some overlap with Austin time zone is required to stay in sync with the team. \n\nIf you want to learn more check out our post on Elixir Forum: https://elixirforum.com/t/senior-software-engineer-elixir-hammer-corp-tx-us/35568. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n$126,000 — $170,000/year\n\n\n#Location\n🌏 Worldwide
