We strive to be world-class in investing in our people and commit to developing you as a professional.\n\nTHE ROLE\n\n\n\n* Our US Content team includes the curriculum developers who design and develop the courses, lessons, videos, articles, and practice questions on Khan Academy. As a Content team Intern, youโll have the chance to work side-by-side with our teamโs Content Creators to develop, launch, and upgrade content on courses in your area of expertise. \n\n* Under the guidance of a seasoned mentor, youโll own and drive a project that gives you end-to-end experience with all aspects of Khan Academyโs content creation cycle. Youโll also have a chance to share your project through a culminating presentation at the close of the internship experience.\n\n* Youโll be part of an Intern Learning Community that will provide you with opportunities to learn from colleagues across the organization, while learning how different teams within an educational technology organization collaborate to design and deliver world-class digital learning experiences to learners and educators. \n\n* Youโll explore ways to integrate our AI-powered tutor, Khanmigo, into our content to provide more tailored and interactive learning experiences to students.\n\n* Youโll leave your internship with a deeper understanding of what content creation looks like in an educational technology company, and will be empowered to make informed decisions about the next steps of your career, whether they include remaining in a school or district-based role or transitioning to a career in edtech.\n\n\n\n\nWHAT YOU BRING\n\nPassion for education and instructional design\n\n\n* You are motivated by the Khan Academy mission โto provide a free world-class education for anyone, anywhere.โ\n\n* You have deep knowledge and expertise in your content area (e.g. an advanced degree in an area of science, social studies, mathematics, economics, or curriculum and instruction).\n\n* You have experience teaching math, science, social studies, and/or economics at the K-12 or university level, giving you a deep empathy with learners, teachers and classrooms.\n\n* You're able to harness creativity, empathy, and pragmatism to design learning experiences that are standards-aligned and lead to positive learning outcomes, even within the resource, curricular, and technology constraints of todayโs classrooms.\n\n* You are committed to equity and to delivering engaging and meaningful learning experiences to all learners, particularly those in historically underrepresented groups or communities. \n\n\n\n\nStrong execution and collaboration\n\n\n* You can connect your day-to-day work to larger departmental, school, or district-wide goals while also paying close attention to details to ensure that your work is clear, concise, and error-free. \n\n* Youโre an adept project manager who can break a complex task into manageable pieces and track your progress towards a goal or outcome. You stay organized even when there are multiple tasks to complete.\n\n* Youโre kind, collaborative, and a strong communicator; you can successfully share, solicit, and act on feedback.
