## Now Hiring: Remote Lead DevOps Engineer\n- 👪 Parental Leave\n- 🏥 Insurance Coverage\n- 💡 5+ Years of Experience\n- 🌴 Flexible Time Off Policy\n-💼 Professional Development\n- 🗺 Anywhere in Eastern Europe 🗺 (This will be a remote position preferably in Slovenia but we’re open to hiring the right talent remote anywhere in Eastern Europe)\n## Who We Are\nCartHook is the leading checkout and upsell platform for Shopify brands, and we’re growing. To date, our customers have processed over a billion dollars through CartHook and, as we pursue our mission to help eCommerce merchants thrive, we have some big plans for expansion. That’s where you come in.\nWe are a group of people who give a damn. We believe in doing what’s right and speaking up, even when it’s difficult. We pursue success, humbly.\nWe work on two continents, with offices in Portland, Oregon, and Ljubljana, Slovenia. However, we’re growing our remote teams, so you can live and work just about wherever you want, as long as it meets any role-specific location or time zone requirements (which are outlined below). Just make sure you have a reliable internet connection.\nWe bridge time zones and distance with thorough and transparent communication, and processes designed to empower and support each other. We’re a company of people from a variety of backgrounds, with a range of perspectives, which makes us stronger. We frequently work in cross-functional teams, and you’ll get to work with awesome people in all different roles in the company. We leave our egos at the door and value input and ideas from everyone at the company.\n## How We Work\n**Live Where You Want\n**\nWe’re a hybrid of co-located and distributed teams, so you can live and work just about wherever you want.\n**No Crazy Hours\n**\nWe’re all adults and we trust each other to manage our time appropriately. There’s no need to punch a clock, or ask for permission to take off early one afternoon to go see the doctor. We look at what you accomplish, not how long you are in front of a computer. We work hard and smart, but we’re in this for the long haul.\n**Responsible Time Off\n**\nWe want you to take time off; it makes you happier, healthier, and more productive. In fact, we have an unlimited time-off policy, plus two mandatory weeks for a holiday break in December/January. It’s important you take the time you need, whether you’re caring for your health, the health of a family member, or going on vacation. (We look forward to seeing pictures of your trip in #the-pub Slack channel!) Be mindful of Black Friday through Cyber Monday. That’s our merchants’ busiest time of the year, and we need all-hands-on-deck just in case.\n**Grow and Learn\n**\nWe aren’t satisfied with what we already know; we want to learn more and we want you to as well. Think conferences (when those are a thing again), online courses and resources, and dedicated time away to learn something new…it’s up to you and your manager. Let us know what you need.\n**Benefits\n**\nInsurance coverage: For our U.S. employees, we offer health, dental, and vision insurance. We cover 100% of your medical and dental premiums and 75% for vision. We also cover a percentage of the premiums for dependents. If our default plan isn’t right for you, there are other options available to fit your needs.\nParental leave: All parents who welcome a new child by birth, surrogacy, foster, or adoption are eligible to take 8 weeks of paid leave. All birth mothers are eligible for an additional 8 weeks of paid leave. New mothers will be able to have a flexible, soft re-entry coming back to work.\n401k Plan: Employees are eligible for a 401k plan provided by Guideline and integrated into our payroll system. Plans are funded by the employee.\n## The Role\nAs a Dev-Ops engineer, you will be working closely with the development teams to implement and support their continuous integration, in order to ensure stable and reliable releases of our platform. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining our container-based infrastructure, to improve the availability and resilience of our services. With your motivation and knowledge in the latest cloud technologies and provisioners like Terraform and container-orchestration softwares like Nomad and Kubernetes, you will be creating a scalable and resilient architecture for an Ecommerce stack.\nThis is a full-time, fully remote role. Ideally, you are located in a European timezone, but we are open to other timezones on a case by case basis\n## What we’re looking for\n- Advanced knowledge in cloud administration(required, minimum 3 years of experience)\n- Advanced knowledge of AWS, specially IAM, RDS; Cloudfront, S3, EC2 Autoscaling (Cloudformation), Lambda, ElastiCache, Elastic Load Balancing, VPC (required, 3 years of experience), EventBridge, Fergate, ElasticBeanstalk is a +\n- Good knowledge of SQL DB engines, optimization, and maintenance\n-- Redshift(1 year of experience)\n--Mysql(5 years experience)\n-- Aurora(3 year experience), clustering is a plus\n- Advanced knowledge of the in-memory databases(Redis)\n-- Experience with ElastiCache is a +\n- Advanced knowledge of Docker (3 years of experience),\n- Advanced knowledge of the container orchestration software like Nomad (required, 2 years of experience)\n- Advanced knowledge of Nginx + php-fpm stack\n- Understanding principles of laC (Infrastructure as a code) (required)\n- Advanced knowledge of provisioning tool like Ansible\n-- We use HashiCorp Tools (required, but can be a similar type)\n-- Advanced knowledge of Terraform from HashiCorp\n-- Advanced knowledge of the Vault from HashiCorp\n-- Advanced knowledge of the Consul from HashiCorp\n- Advanced knowledge of Cl/CD (e.g. Buildkite, Circled, Gitlab, Travis) (required, 8 years of experience), Buildkite is preferable\n- Basic understanding of service discovery(1 year of experience)\n- Proficiency in bash, shell languages(required, 5 years of experience)\n- UNIX/Linux system administration(required, 5 years of experience])\n- Experience with high performance systems(required, 5 years experience)\n- Experience managing large datasets, data replications, and data storage pools(2 years experience)\n- Experience with scaling infrastructure and migrations\n- Self-starter, proactive attitude\n## Bonus points\n- Kubernetes, etcd is a plus\n- Advanced knowledge of the AWS EKS\n- Data streaming services(Kafka, Cassandra)\n- Puppet, Chef\n- Knowledge of Apache\n- PHP\n- Laravel Framework\n- NodeJS\n- Python\n- Golang\n- PostgreSQL\n- Ecommerce knowledge\n- Scrum and agile development\nSo, are you game? Spreedly is a rapidly growing, growth private-equity funded digital payments company with headquarters located in downtown Durham, North Carolina. We've developed a high volume, global solution to support our vision that the world is better with a diversified, inclusive, payment ecosystem. \n\nOur employees help build a culture that values independence, transparency, and collaboration in a digital-first communication environment. We hope you do your best work at Spreedly and find a mature workplace striving to support the ebb and flow of work-life harmony.\n\nInfrastructure is our internal team whose focus is designing, deploying, and operating the foundational systems and platform primitives on which Spreedly services run. Building a high performance payments platform requires engineers with expertise in distributed systems architecture, infrastructure as a service, and information security best practices. We are working with and storing credit card data, so thinking about security is a way of life at Spreedly, as is building sustainable processes to keep things safe(and our auditors happy)!\n\nOur team is looking for an enthusiastic engineer who is interested in building and scaling complex infrastructure as well as finding innovative solutions for interesting systems problems. We are working to de-monolith and containerize our cloud based services so your ideas and skills will directly impact the design of our next generation platform. We regularly work with internal engineering and product teams as well as external vendors in pursuit of improving our developer experience and satisfying our customer needs. We hope to find someone that brings a broad set of technical skills, a development and automation focused mindset, and a diverse view to our team as we expand our infrastructure in support of our goals.\n\n**You have**\n* Experience building, operating, and scaling systems on AWS.\n* Experience with DevOps and/or GitOps and an understanding of CI/CD methods.\n* Familiarity with infrastructure as code(we use Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Nomad, etc).\n* A solid understanding of Amazon Linux and Ubuntu distributions and their ecosystems.\n* The ability to deliver solutions in support of applications written in Ruby on Rails and Elixir.\n* A desire to instrument everything using platforms like Datadog, Sentry, and Sumo Logic.\n* Experience with containers and container orchestration(Kubernetes, Docker, etc).\n* Some programming proficiency in Python or Go. You might even be a software engineer with a focus or passion for infrastructure!\n* A desire to mentor other engineers and foster a collaborative environment to improve our software development processes.\n* A willingness to be a generalist and dig into new things you've never done before.\n* Excellent written communications, and a track record of documenting your work.\n* A pragmatic, take-action approach but you’re open to failing fast and pivoting.\n* An ability to sort out immediate priorities from the ever shifting needs of a rapidly growing organization.\n\n**What we offer**\n* Competitive salary\n* Outstanding medical and dental benefits(we pay 100% of monthly premiums for employees + families)\n* Life and long-term disability insurance\n* Medical and dependent care FSA\n* Optional vision insurance\n* Open PTO policy\n* 12 weeks paid Family Leave\n* Matching 401k plan (5% up to $5,000 yearly)\n* Monthly digital lifestyle stipend ($150)\n* Professional development opportunities including annual stipend and access to LinkedIn Learning\n\nWhen travel and in-office work commences\n* Remote friendly work environment. Even our local employees are remote 3 days per week!\n* Tues./Thurs. are in-office days for local employees - the rest of the week employees are free to work wherever they choose\n* Paid lunches on in-office days for local employees\n* Quarterly visits to HQ for remote employees\n\nWe are open to remote candidates, with the caveat that you must be located in the **contiguous US (except NY, WA, and CA where we are not able to hire)** and be able to travel to our Durham office once a quarter (once travel is safe again). With ~30% of our engineers already remote, we are experienced supporting remote employees. If you are remote we'd like for you to have had prior experience working in a remote setting. All applicants must have a US work visa. \n\nWe're constantly striving to have the fairest and most productive hiring process possible. We want to ensure that every candidate is treated equally and our interactions are designed with that goal in mind. If you want to get a sense for what your application process will look like, we'd encourage you to read the following: Stop Hazing Your Potential Hires and Programming Puzzles Are Not the Answer.\n\nIf this at all sounds interesting, we'd love to hear from you!\n\nSpreedly is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to fostering, cultivating and preserving a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion. We actively work to drive out even unintentional discrimination in our hiring processes via practices like blindly graded work samples, structured interviews, and diversity awareness training.\n\nDue to the sensitive nature of what Spreedly does- handling payment data- candidates must complete a successful background check. If you have concerns along those lines, please discuss with us sooner rather than later- we do not want you to waste time in the hiring process and get disqualified at the end if we can help it.\n\nWe appreciate your interest in our company. Because of the high volume of resume flow, we will only respond to those candidates that we think will be a potential fit. \n\n#Salary\n$130,000 — $160,000\n\n\n#Location\n🇺🇸 US-only

Over a million designers use Sketch to transform their ideas into incredible products, every day. Would you like to join us and help take the infrastructure that supports this leading design tool to the next level? We're looking to expand our team with a full-time **Site Reliability Engineer**.\n\nAt Sketch, we work with a unique technology blend: a cloud platform and macOS and iOS applications. Our cloud stack is based on a mix of serverless and traditional server applications built on Elixir and Go, along with other cloud services like RDS PostgreSQL, S3, SQS, ... Most pieces are deployed on AWS ECS and automated through Terraform; we use Chef for configuration management where it's needed. Our SRE team usually codes with Python whenever we need to write a small program or script.\n\nAs a Site Reliability Engineer at Sketch, you will focus on shaping our cloud infrastructure and make sure all the pieces work well together: development environments, metrics processing and observability, security policies, network design, deployment strategies, high availability, etc. You will work closely with backend, frontend, Mac developers and product managers to guarantee product focussed, smooth engineering processes.\n\nAs an example of one complex project we have worked on lately, we recently migrated our production database from MariaDB to PostgreSQL using streaming replication to minimise the potential downtime and have replicated environments to adapt and test our backend APIs properly.\n\n**About you**\n\nWe look for someone who has experience with different stacks (mainly Linux based), technologies and production models and has participated actively on the build of essential pieces of a cloud platform.\n\nSomeone that knows how to conduct a technical operation that potentially affects users and at the same time can code small applications and scripts to automate the platform and also debug problems in other people's code.\n\nYou care about security, code quality, scalability, performance, and simplicity. Above all, you seek operational excellence and apply the best engineering practices possible. Not everything that you or your team do can be perfect, but you make sure that you always know the trade-offs. You back your decisions with arguments. You don't care for hype and always try to find the best solution and technology for the job and its context.\n\n**Essentials**\n\n* Professional experience managing Linux-based and cloud-native distributed systems in the past\n* Experience coding with high-level programming languages like Python\n* Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, and configuration management tools to automate manual operations\n* A good understanding of the HTTP protocol and the behavior of production web services\n* Excellent communication skills and a good written and spoken English\n* You're based in European / African timezones.\n\n**About Sketch**\n\nSketch is a 100% remote company, and your colleagues are distributed around the globe. Being remote adds great flexibility, and helps us build a more diverse team. We put respect for each other above everything else.\n\nBesides being remote we work asynchronously as often as we can. This means that our team communicates mostly using Slack and GitHub. When we need it, we also have video calls.\n\nOur Technology team has more than 60 people today, split between Mac, Backend, Frontend, Infrastructure and QA. In particular, the Infrastructure team has 6 members. We work in multidisciplinary squads: people from different roles, including members of the Product team, work together on solving problems and delivering functionality to our users.\n\n**We care about your well-being and your professional success, so we offer you**\n\n* Flexibility to organize your own time, no set hours\n* As many vacation days as you need\n* Whatever training you need to develop in your job\n* The laptop you need\n* The option to work anywhere in European/African timezones\n* Company equity\n* Paid family leave \n* An annual company meetup\n\n#Location\n🌏 Worldwide

\nDo you want to build technologies that actually make a difference?  If you love the idea of working at the forefront of AI, drones, immersive 3D technologies, and you want to solve real-world problems like protecting endangered species, measuring climate degradation, improving emergency management, and more, this is a great company for you. At Aerial Applications, our vision is to make the physical world knowable. Why? Because we believe that knowing the world is critical to making smart decisions. What You'll Build Here We create mapping software that makes advanced geospatial intelligence available to everyone, so organizations can perceive, comprehend, and predict the world around them and act decisively within it. We're building the machine vision backbone for fully autonomous mobile systems operating as machine constituents in the future of work.  What does that mean for you? One day, you'll be debating how to better leverage high-performance computing for sensor fusion over 5G. Another, you'll be digging into multispectral imaging, chlorophyll resonance, and structure-from-motion. You'll be challenged to learn a wild array of technologies that will change how you see the world (and how every machine you influence sees it too.)  If you've ever played Gears of War 5 and used Jack's "pulse" ability, or seen the mapping drones in the movie Prometheus, that's the kind of mapping software we're talking about.  \nAbout This Position\n\n We're seeking a full-time DevOps Engineer. The ideal candidate will work along with our excellent software development team and be responsible for working on projects that are currently being developed by Aerial. We want teammates who are passionate, reliable, coachable, and independently interesting. \nMajor Duties\n\n\n* Design, build and maintain a stable and efficient infrastructure to optimize service delivery across production, QA, and development environments throughout the development lifecycle.\n\n* Monitor, troubleshoot, maintain, and continuously improve building, packaging, and deployment processes.\n\n* Implement automated infrastructure capabilities like backups, security tools, and monitoring.\n\n* Utilize a consistent DevOps approach to improve all phases of the process and ensure end-to-end quality across functions.\n\n\n\n\nRequired Experience\n\n\n* Bachelor’s degree and 4-7 years of relevant experience\n\n* Experience with enhancing DevOps architecture\n\n* Experience with maintaining infrastructure, supporting production workloads, and configuration management\n\n* Experience with modern CI/CD tools\n\n* Knowledge of deployment/configuration management tools\n\n* Experience with GitLab\n\n* Experience with Active Directory\n\n* Experience with mail servers and VPN’s\n\n* Experienced with network infrastructure, database, cloud and data center operations, and security protocols\n\n* Embodies an automation mindset\n\n* Experience with programming and scripting with languages like JavaScript, SQL, or C++\n\n* Experience with remote assistance tools\n\n* Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating system administration\n\n* Prior experience with containerization and orchestration strategies (e.g., Docker and Kubernetes)\n\n* A get-things-done attitude and track record of success\n\n* Bonus: You’re super excited to contribute to the drone technology field\n\n\n\n\nWho We Want\n\n\n* You take pride in your craft, knowing that your professional work reflects your inner discipline and commitment to excellence.\n\n* You are able to work in a team environment. You don’t have a problem going head down to complete your tasks, but you also know when to ask for help with a difficult problem.\n\n\n\n\n\n* Desire to continuously learn and grow, sharing new tools and methods with the team.\n\n* Willingness and ability to innovate, going beyond a tactical support role to critically analyze work objectives and suggest strategies.\n\n* Positive, curious, and open-minded perspective. Support for, and curiosity about, Aerial Application’s mission.\n\n\n\n\nWe are a rapidly growing company and plenty of opportunities for career development as you grow with us. This position is remote or in-person at our Washington, DC headquarters. \nSenior DevOps Engineer (Contract)\n\nNew Context is a rapidly growing consulting company in the heart of downtown San Francisco. We specialize in Lean Security: an approach that leads organizations to build better, safer software through hands-on technical and management consulting. We are a group of engineers who live and breathe Agile Infrastructure, Systems Automation, Cloud Orchestration, and Information & Application Security.\n\nAs a New Context Senior DevOps Engineer, you will provide technical leadership with a hands-on approach. Our clients look to us to guide them to a solution that makes sense for them, and you should expect to provide thought leadership, design, and implement that solution.\n\nExpect to heavily use Open Source software to take on challenges like delivery of highly secured containers, management of IoT devices or building Big Data ecosystems at petabyte scale and beyond. You will utilize our core methodologies - Agile, Lean, TDD and Pair Programming - along with your fluency in DevOps - to implement robust and reliable systems for our clients.\n\nYou will work with our clients and other New Context team members while working from the New Context office, at client sites, or from your home. We foster a tight-knit, highly-supportive environment where there are no stupid questions. Even if you may not know the answer immediately, you'll have the entire company supporting you via Slack, Zoom, or in-person. We also host a daily, all-company stand-up via Zoom, and a weekly company Retro, so you won't just be a name on an email.\n\nAt New Context, our core values are Humility, Integrity, Quality & Passion! Our employees live these values every single day.\n\nWho you are:\n\n\n* A seasoned technologist with 5+ years work experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Continuous Integration role;\n\n* Experienced in Open Source web technologies, especially in the areas of highly-available, secure systems;\n\n* Accustomed to implementing cloud-based solutions (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) with significant work experience in public cloud technologies;\n\n* Have developed production-quality applications in an Agile environment;\n\n* Fluent in one or more high-level languages, ideally Ruby and/or Python;\n\n* Familiar with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automated server provisioning technologies;\n\n* Experienced as a technical lead on technical projects;\n\n* An excellent communicator, experienced working with external clients and customers and able to communicate productively with customers to explain technical aspects and project status;\n\n* Able to think on your feet and learn quickly on-the-job in order to meet the expectations of our clients;\n\n* A great teammate and a creative and independent thinker.\n\n\n\n\nBonus points if you are:\n\n\n* Comfortable as a technically hands-on Project Manager;\n\n* Experienced managing teams;\n\n* Happy and effective in a consulting role;\n\n* Familiar with: TCP/IP, firewall policy design, social engineering, intrusion detection, code auditing, forensic analysis;\n\n* A believer in automated tests and their role in software engineering;\n\n* Able to translate complex concepts to business customers\n\n\n\n\nTechnology we use:\n\nWe tailor solutions to our customers. You might work on projects using any of the following technologies:\n\n\n* Automation: Chef, Puppet, Docker, Ansible, Salt, Terraform, Automated Testing\n\n* Containerization Ecosystem: Docker, Mesosphere, Rancher, CoreOS, Kubernete\n\n* Cloud & Virtualization: AWS, Google Compute Engine, OpenStack, Cloudstack, kvm, libvirt\n\n* Tools: Jenkins, Atlassian Suite, Pivotal Tracker, Vagrant, Git, Packer\n\n* Monitoring: SysDig, DataDog, AppDynamics, New Relic, Sentry, Nagios, Prometheus\n\n* Databases/Datastores: Cassandra, Hadoop, Redis, postgres, MySQL\n\n* Security: Compliance standards, Application Security, Firewalls, OSSEC, Hashicorp Vault\n\n* Languages: Ruby, Python, Go, JavaScript\n\n\n\n\nAll applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor visas for this position.\n\nWe are committed to equal-employment principles, and we recognize the value of committed employees who feel they are being treated in an equitable and professional manner. \nItsaCheckmate provides a software solution for the restaurant industry, integrating online ordering platforms such as GrubHub, UberEats, DoorDash and over 70 different online ordering platforms globally directly to various POS systems of restaurants. We are currently integrated with over 40 different POS systems.\n\nAs you can imagine, we have built up quite a complicated system and hub for processing orders from over 70 different online ordering channels flowing into 40 different POS systems. Integration into POS systems is the most difficult problem in the industry, which we are tackling head on. We have built a good team and process internally to be able to tackle this problem, and are looking for engineers who welcome such challenges. Very often, we have to review the API documents and codes written by another partner and then integrate into them. This requires regular communication with the partners as well. With most of our partners, we have a Slack channel setup for regular communication.\n\nIntegrating two different absolutely independent systems is what we do, and that is the core value we provide to our customers. \n\nWe are looking for a mid level to a Senior DevOps engineer who can work with our CTO and Lead DevOps engineer to further strengthen up our system. We are already working with a few large national level brands processing over 100,000 orders for them per month. We cannot afford to have any downtime, as we have very strict SLAs with them. We require developers who can build a monitoring infrastructure which alerts us in advance of any possible outages. It should also monitor the overall health of our overall infrastructure. Reducing costs while scaling is always a very attractive proposition.\n\nWe have been a remote company since day one, so we understand and know how to work with remote employees. We have a very communicative and collaborative culture between engineers as well as non-engineers. I am non technical founder of this company, and have worked with engineers directly for over 7 years. \n\nWe are looking for experienced engineers who can work in a startup. Startup is not a job, it is a mindset. This company was built from scratch 3 years ago, and our CTO, who built this entire code, is still very much with us. New joinees should be able to understand that the code built is not perfect, but we process over 3 million transactions a month, so it works and works well. We are looking for engineers who can work with the current team members, build credibility by delivering good quality code and then also recommend changes in the system - slowly and gradually. We understand our code may not be perfect but we are a company that has just grown out of survival mode and are now looking towards medium term goals, not just short term objectives.\n\nWe also have various different tasks going on in the company, which includes new integrations, new product development, developing tools for our internal users. So based on interest and capabilities, the engineers can move between departments. \n\nWe require engineers to work during the US time zone (New York).

\nBushel is working on growing its (currently) small DevOps/Systems team. We’re looking for a self-starter with a passion for technology that’s also an effective team player/communicator. The ideal candidate will have a desire to influence the future of our systems infrastructure as well as the ability to quickly learn and maintain our current infrastructure.\n\nDay to day responsibilities include maintaining internal hosting infrastructure/tooling. Planning/implementation of architecture and process improvements will also play a strong role. We strive to keep our systems fast, reliable, updated, and constantly improving. This position will also involve some business data analytics/dashboard-building projects.\n\nOur environment is Linux based with a strong emphasis on Kubernetes, Docker, and Google Cloud. We use and support a variety of languages (PHP, Kotlin, Golang, Python, shell, etc.), tools (Jenkins, helm, terraform, etc.), databases, and message queues. \nInterpersonal Frequency (I.F.) is seeking a full-time DevOps Engineer to add to our growing team.\n\nWe are looking for a DevOps engineer to help us scale our systems as we bring more cities and government agencies into the cloud. Our backend tech stack currently includes RHEL/CentOS, Docker, Node.js, PHP, Apache/Nginx, Solr/ElasticSearch, MariaDB/MySQL, GlusterFS, Redis/Memcache, HAProxy, Varnish, New Relic, and AWS (GovCloud, EC2, ELB, RDS, Aurora, ElastiCache, S3, CloudFormation, Redshift, EFS, etc.), DigitalOcean, and Rackspace.\n\nWhy work with us?\n- Fun, cutting edge remote work environment – ever changing, always a chat away from team members\n- Your work directly impacts the lives of millions of Americans every day\n- Healthcare, and Dental/Vision/Life/Disability plans\n- Access to a 401(k) plan\n- Unlimited vacation, and a flexible schedule\n- Work in a mostly virtual environment or a coworking location. If you work virtually, be prepared to travel once per quarter for face-to-face with the team\n\nWho you are \nWe're looking for a senior DevOps engineer with significant experience configuring, managing, automating, securing, monitoring and maintaining systems at scale.\n- You love to solve problems and can do so under pressure. \n- Scaling, reliability, automation, security, and performance are things you care about deeply. \n- You have a good mixture of planning, risk taking and a “get-it-done” attitude. \n- You value the open source community and want to give back to it. \n- You can clearly explain your ideas to both clients and other team members both verbally and in writing. \n- You like to have fun and work with a small team! You play well with others (not just engineers). \n- You bring both creativity and maturity to your work: you’re a self-starter who can jump in quickly and can manage your own time effectively in a remote work environment.\n\nWhat you’ll do \nYou will help ensure the scalability, security, performance, and availability of our systems by applying your expertise in the evolution and daily operation of our LAMP/LEMP stack, implementing and automating infrastructure deployments and working with our engineering team to ensure the software that we build can scale.\n\nRequirements\n- You must either be a US Citizen or already have a Green Card to apply\n- 3-5 years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud hosting\n- 3+ years of experience with MySQL (DevOps, not DBA)\n- Linux - Nginx and/or Apache\n- Varnish\n- PHP (DevOps tuning, not dev)\n- Docker\n- Shell scripting\n- Ansible / Chef / Puppet\n- Code repository versioning (Git)\n\nBonus Skills\n- Memcached/Redis\n- CentOS/Redhat Linux\n- HAProxy\n- MariaDB/MySQL Clustering\n- Elasticsearch and/or Apache Solr\n- Code repository hosting (e.g. Gitlab)\n- Drupal Optimization\n- Big Data (e.g. Hadoop, Redshift)\n- Authentication Integration (e.g. LDAP/AD/SAML)\n- Penetration testing\n- Load testing\n- GlusterFS\n- Performance testing (e.g. New Relic, Blackfire)\n- Jenkins
