This year

We're looking for a Senior Devops Engineer to help us automate and scale CompanyCam as we continue to grow. This is an important role and you will work directly with the CTO.\n\n# Responsibilities\n Our infrastructure has evolved over the years but has been managed by a single developer without much experience being a sysadmin. After several iterations we have a semi-automated system in place to fire up new infrastructure but it is far from perfect. We are looking for someone who is comfortable in taking our existing infrastructure and evolving it to the next step. You will be responsible for monitoring and responding to service disruptions as well as working with the development team to proactively improve performance.\n\n**What you'll be working with**\n\nOur infrastructure is made up of a handful of web and worker servers hosted in AWS running Ubuntu and provisioned with Ansible. We make use of several AWS services such as ElasticCache, RDS, Elasticsearch, and Lambda. Our stack consists of Rails, Nginx, Puma, Postgres, PGBouncer, Mongo, and Kafka. \n\n# Requirements\n* 4+ years as a sysadmin minimum\n* Proven track-record automating and scaling systems\n* Prior experience managing databases, backups and replication\n* Knowledge of security issues and mitigation techniques\n* Enjoys teaching others \n\n#Location\n- πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦North America

You are a passionate, which is the most important, software engineer with several years of experience crafting software, it is better :), but if you feel that you have the potential, don't hesitate, and with:\n\n\n\n- broad experience in back-end development, HTTP and APIs\n\n\n\n- preferably, some experiences with Go, knowledge of distributed systems and simplicity, familiar with the UNIX philosophy, database such as MySQL, swagger ...\n\n\n\n- A big + would be that you understand or you have worked as a DevOps as we build a DevOps platform. \n\n\n\nWhat is also important is that we are looking for more than just a developer. We are looking for a person who can build with us new features, can bring some new ideas to what could be a great DevOps platform to build a bridge between Dev & Ops & tools. \n\n\n\nWe work on empowering people so we don't have a full-time product manager due to our culture.\n\n\n\nYou are of course a team player and know how to work in remote even if you can work at Cycloid office in Paris if you live in IDF. You can decide to work on remote or co-working place if you are located in Europe, we only hire people located in Europe to avoid timezone issue and we don't accept relocation. All the organisation are in an asynchronous manner. We don’t use emails, only Github, Slack, Trello and Hangout.\n\n\n\nYou have excellent written and oral communication skills in English, another language would be a plus.\n\n\n\n\n\nCycloid is committed to having equality between women and men. In that way, we strongly encourage women's application. \n\n\n\n \n\n#Location\n- πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡ΊEU-only

\nPeerJ is looking for a DevOps / Back-end engineer who is happy to get their hands on a production environment and get stuck in. Our application is built on the Symfony framework, with some other toys in the background to help the application along its way.\n\nWe’re looking for someone who can work on our DevOps side and build on our current back-end services to improve performance, security, features and integrations and the way it talks to the front-end Symfony framework.\n\nYou’ll definitely have the ability to liaise with other team members in order to establish requirements, you’re able to work autonomously and along side other team members to build new features and solve problems, and you’ll understand what a production system is and what to do and not do on it.
