**About GooseChase**\n\nGooseChase is a rapidly growing, fully remote web and mobile platform for creating and facilitating scavenger hunts. Through our website, organizers create custom "hunts" specific to their events / activities. Teams and/or individuals compete in the hunt by using our iOS or Android app to: take photos/videos, enter a text response, and/or visit a specific location.\n\nThe key technologies we use are:\n\nFront-End: Javascript with React (Flux architecture, currently migrating to Redux), HTML, SCSS & Webpack.\nBack-End: Django, REST (Tastypie), Task Queuing (Celery, Redis, RabbitMQ), Postgres, Nginx, Gunicorn.\n\n**Perks**\n* Fully remote work - work whenever/wherever/however you want.\n* Competitive compensation, including stipends for equipment, co-working spaces, etc.\n* Join a company that is profitable & growing quickly, but still prioritizes doing the right thing over everything else.\n* Significant learning opportunities - whether it’s learning about other parts of the business or taking on more responsibility, we expect everyone on the team to be continually looking to grow.\n\n\n# Responsibilities\n As a Full Stack Web Developer, you’ll have the opportunity to create new, exciting features for our user base of game organizers and game participants. You will work directly with our design team to bring feature mock-ups to life, delighting our users and ensuring the delivery of high-quality code that focuses on reliability and performance.\n\nSpecific responsibilities include:\n\n* Being familiar and up-to-date with the platform functionality (online game manager & participant mobile apps).\n* Working with our customer success & design teams to understand the motivations for a feature & coding it with those objectives and the user's experience in mind. Put another way, we want you to know why you are doing what you’re doing!\n* Developing the front and back-end components for new features that will help game organizers run games more effectively while delighting participants in new and unexpected ways.\n* Participating as a member of the development team - contributing to PR reviews, sharing learnings so the rest of the team can improve, etc.\n* Working under limited supervision with significant latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. \n\n# Requirements\nThe candidate for this position must be:\n\n* At an advanced level in front-end and and intermediate to advanced in back-end web/application development (can be personal projects and/or work experience).\n* Advanced production level experience with React.\n* Strong command of programming best practices in autonomous and collaborative work.\n* Able to take ownership of work, maintaining high standards of performance, reliability & security.\n* An excellent communicator, problem solver, and creative thinker.\n\nAlthough not strictly required, it would be a big plus if the candidate had past experience:\n\n* Working with Django.\n* Working with smaller teams, especially in a remote setting. \n\n#Salary\n$70K-95K\n \n\n#Location\n- 🌏Worldwide

Marigold is entering the new market of legalized marijuana in the United States by becoming the first website to take the hardships, uneasiness, and confusion out of trying marijuana. We provide customized and curated products suggestions to individuals based on their specific needs. \n\nWhat we’re building: SEO heavy React+Node system with SSR continuously deployed into a Kubernetes cluster in order to move fast and break into a new market. \n\nQuality and speed are both important so you should have a strong desire to keep up with best practices. We’ll be using A/B testing to figure out which features to build and keep, meaning we can focus on delivering value and not just flavor of the day features.\n\nOur target platforms are all modern browsers, smart phones and tablets and eventually native apps, and we’ll be using GraphQL to make it easier to support these many use cases.\n\nOur team works iteratively, agilely and relies heavily on Slack and a simple PM tool to track priorities.\n\nWe need thoughtful engineers who love web apps and have real production experience building consumer facing responsive sites. You should be excited about building a whole project from the ground up, like taking ownership, care about code quality, and want to work on a small team (3-4 people) to start with. Please include the following at the tope of your application: “I am excited to build from the ground up!”\n\nAt least in the beginning, you need to be available for two or three hour-long conference calls (in English) per week, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM PST.\n\nThe position is 100% remote full-time contract position with no current end date.\n\nIf you have worked on long-term, production (not prototype or school) projects please mention this in your response and share your thoughts on how you might build the Marigold system.\n\n# Responsibilities\n - Full stack feature development\n- Work with business owners to understand requirements and reasoning \n\n# Requirements\n**Required Experience:**\n* Developing for at least 5 years\n* React – Senior level\n* Nodejs\n* GraphQL\n* Postgres or Mongo or MySQL\n* GitHub\n\n**Bonus for Experience with:**\n* Kubernetes\n* Docker\n* Nextjs\n* React Hooks\n* CSS-in-JS\n* Jest\n* Cypress.io or Selenium\n* Redis\n* TypeORM\n* TypeGraphQL \n\n#Salary\n$48,000\n \n\n#Location\n- 🌏Worldwide

**Area is modernising the user experience of buying and renting a home. We’re a platform for estate agents and their customers that makes it easier and faster to get things done. Area is an early stage, fully-remote and revenue-generating startup (based out of London). The team you’ll work with were the engineering and product VPs at Yoyo Wallet who laid the groundwork for it to become Europe’s fastest growing mobile wallet.**\n\nArea’s clients include some of the best-performing estate agents in the UK and over 10,000 customers interact with Area’s software each month (and may not even know it). If the words “estate agent” put you off, they shouldn’t! Our clients love us because we’re industry outsiders and we challenge the status quo. Most of the problems and challenges we're solving are no different than those at other early-stage startups.\n\n**The Role:**\n\nWe are looking for a remote software engineer with experience building commercially-deployed Rails applications to join us as we scale-up our infrastructure, engineering team and product. This is very much a get your hands dirty start-up role rather than a clock in-and-out role. As it’s remote, there is lots of flexibility around your working schedule, but we’re all about getting things done, so you’ll need to pull your weight. With that said, we value working smarter instead of harder and finding balance.\n\n**Must Haves:**\n\n* Extensive and current understanding of Ruby on Rails\n* Good track record of working on commercial-deployed projects\n* Experience building and deploying AWS-based environments\n* Fluent English speaker (with above-average writing skills)\n* Driven to create structured and well-tested code\n* Self motivated and able to manage your own workload\n\n**Nice To Haves:**\n\n* Experience working in partially- or fully-remote teams\n* Experience with Angular, React or Backbone\n* Experience with iOS and/or Android development\n* Interest in or experience in UX, UI and product development\n\n**The Benefits:**\n\n* Work from wherever you want (fully remote role)\*\n* Monthly remote working budget (e.g. coworking space rent)\n* Yearly skills development budget (e.g. courses or books)\n* MacbookPro and accessories you need to do your job\n* £45k - £75k\*\* per year depending on your skill set and experience\n* Private pension contributions (subject to UK residency)\n* Flexible holiday allowance and personal days as required\n\n\* You may need to adjust your working schedule to have a minimum of 2-4 hours overlap with other team members.\n\n\*\* Or negotiated equivalent contractor rate if you do not have/are not able to get a UK NI number.\n\n**The Process:**\n\n1. Please tell us about your experience and why you’re interested.\n1. Initial call with the CEO to learn more about each other\n1. Second call with the CTO to learn more about each other\n1. Short pair-programming session to see how you work in action\n1. If it's a good fit, we’ll make you an official offer in writing\n1. If you accept, we’ll meet up in person for on-boarding\*\*\*\n\n\*\*\* Either we’ll fly to you, you fly to us or we meet somewhere in between. Of course reasonable travel expenses would be covered. \n\n# Requirements\nPlease write to us at [email protected] and ensure you tell us about your experience, linking to anything relevant we should look at and why you would be interested in join us.
