Thermeon are looking for software developers to join our UK team. This role is ideally suited to junior and mid-level developers, with a couple of years experience under their belts.\n\nThermeon’s technical team has a specific culture. The entire team works remotely. We want our developers to be happy, and working on things they enjoy, in order to be as productive as possible. We track down and remove sources of pain in the way of that, so you can get on with doing what you want. We’re highly connected via IRC and google hangouts, and work together to deliver solutions. We have daily team meetings, and encourage a team mindset, instead of a hierarchy.\n\nThere’s no single mold we’re looking for, but here’s a few indications that you’ll fit in well with us:\n* You’ve been creating things using computers for a long time\n* You reach for technology to solve everyday problems\n* You’re familiar with your environment. It isn’t something you use, it’s something you own. \n* You like talking to communities about technologies. Probably in IRC, slack, gitter or similar\n* You’ve probably tried more email clients than cereals\n* You’re deliberate about the workflows you use, and you internalise them as a concept\n* You know what technologies are interesting right now, and which ones have grown into maturity. That might be libraries, or technical stacks, but you’ve got your finger on a pulse\n* You’ve contributed to FOSS somehow.\n\nHere’s what we look for. The more you meet, the better. You should:\n* Be very proficient in linux, zsh/bash/similar, ssh, tmux/screen/similar, vim/emacs/similar\n* Be proficient in at least two programming languages and eager to learn more\n* Know git. No, Not just source control. If you don’t know git, you’ve dodged too much FOSS\n* Have heard of docker\n* Understand web services and web servers\n* Know of TDD and CI\n* Know of agile practices, scrum and preferably kanban too\n* Know about several databases. Relational and NoSQL preferably\n* Know the basics of computer networking\n* Have a few years of commercial experience as a developer\n* Have found our website. That’s why we haven’t told you about the company. \n\nThese are about your character, not about your knowledge.\n \nThis advert isn’t about what the role will be doing. If you fit in with the culture, then you’ll add value by doing whatever you’re good at and enjoy.\n\nHere’s the stack we’re currently interested in:\n* Golang, ruby, perl\n* Docker, terraform, mesos, marathon, haproxy\n* cassandra, redis, elasticsearch, kibana, logstash, grafana\n* github, circleci, coveralls\n* backbone, grunt, extjs\n\nIdeally you should have experience working remotely, but it’s not essential. It’s certainly a skill, and if you haven’t done it before, there’s a risk it might not be right for you. You must have a suitable stable environment free of distractions.\n\nSalary is negotiable.\n\nWe look forward to hearing from you!\n\nExtra tags: golang, perl, ruby \n\nBe sure to mention the words **CYCLE INTACT BRICK** when applying to show you read the job post completely. This is a beta feature to avoid spam applicants.\n\n

\nElite Digital is a small company of 25 employees specializing in the sale of media through online channels. We work behind the scenes to sell millions of different products around the world. If you've ever bought a rare book or cd through Amazon, you probably bought it from us.\n\nWe've been in the industry for more than 10 years, so we are an established company but we still have that scrappy startup spirit. We currently have a single developer handling our entire system, which consists of 150k lines of Perl running on 50 machines.\n\nYour primary role will be leading strategic development efforts and guiding the evolution of our systems. Your secondary role will be assisting with operational support (occasionally after-hours). You will wear many hats in this position: project manager, system administrator, architect, devops, software developer, and more. You'll have the opportunity to tackle some challenging analytical and architectural problems at scale. You'll get to make the big decisions and your work will have a visible impact on the bottom line, every day.\n\nThis is a 100% telecommute position, but candidates must be located in the US, ideally in the Los Angeles area. We especially like people who can show us their contributions on GitHub, StackOverflow, or CPAN.

\nDevelop financial and trading software while in your pajamas.\n\nCollective2 is a 'distributed' company - no central office, no cubicles, no pointy-headed non-programming executives. Instead, we are a team of men and women working together, full-time, from our own homes all over the world.\n\nYour responsibilities as Senior Developer will be large. You'll design, iterate, and maintain entire products and services - front-end, back-end, side-end (wait, is that a real word?)... from jQuery in the browser, to the server-side Perl running on linux servers, all the way to the edge of our MySQL databases.
