{linebreak}This is a part-time role to start although continued demonstration of required skills and on-time deliveries may lead to a full-time offer (part time is approx 20 hours per week of effort although this is negotiable). Initially, we will start by issuing small discrete work packages which can be done in isolation and then later integrated into a larger solution. These tasks will require experience making REST'ful calls for graphs of data, storage in the client, and fairly nuanced/fluid visualization of data to allow users to interact with. Final deliveries will require integration into a React framework but other supporting technology choices may be open for discussion. These projects will also require knowledge of formula's relating to lending, money management, interest calculations, etc... (Ex. calculate loan interest, APRs, etc...) This will also include calculation of amortization schedules, and similar methods to visualize financial relationships for customers. Candidates will also work with our graphic designers to determine appropriate layouts and points of interactivity for target users.{linebreak}{linebreak}We fully embrace professionals who prefer (or require) to work remotely and are looking for mature candidates that can self-manage and deliver reliably. With this arrangement comes lots of flexibility in day-to-day schedules allowing our team members to maintain a work-life balance that suites their individual needs. While some core operating hours are required to facilitate online SCRUMs, etc… individuals will be able to manage most of their schedule on their own. {linebreak}{linebreak}If you are a student, stay-at-home parent, someone caring for your parents, disabled, or someone else needing flexible time, this could work out well for you.

Repable powers data-informed decision making for streamers and eSports athletes. Our passion is gaming, and we're constantly flipping back and forth between hard work and quick bursts of Overwatch, Hearthstone, League & other games. We usually have Azubu, Twitch or YouTube live streaming in the background. Our expertise is in analytics & data, and we're pooling on that knowledge to change the way the gaming industry operates. {linebreak}{linebreak}This is a front-end development position, working closely with the back-end, product management and UI/UX design team members. Your will primarily be creating and developing user interfaces for gamers using our platform. They'll rely on the UI to make decisions about their weekly gameplay, and will make those decisions based on how you present data to them. We want someone passionate about UI/UX, who understands that development is a series of problem solving exercises to fulfill user goals. {linebreak}{linebreak}This position requires prior experience. You're ideally not straight out of a programming boot camp, unless you were among the best in your class. You may need to create assets from time to time, but you'll be focusing largely on the development side of our user experience, onboarding and dashboards. {linebreak}{linebreak}Weโ€™re a small team based out of Toronto, ON but are looking for like-minded individuals to grow with us within North America. You don't need to live in Canada to be eligible for this position, but we'd prefer it if you were. {linebreak}{linebreak}What your first year will look like:{linebreak}{linebreak}- You'll be constantly working with our UI/UX designer to iterate on and implement design concepts. As such, you won't need to spend a lot of time in asset-creation land (unless you want to), but rather in the code itself. {linebreak}- You'll guide the front-end vision of the company by choosing the languages and frameworks that we use, and make sure that they can scale with us appropriately. {linebreak}- You'll be making data-informed decisions, and will share tasks in the artful balance between putting your code out in the wild and tracking it to understand if it's working as intended. {linebreak}- You'll hit your head against the limitations of beautiful email mail-outs. More on that during the interview. {linebreak}{linebreak}Requirements:{linebreak}{linebreak}- The standard stuff you'd expect to see in any front-end position. CSS, HTML, frameworks, etc. You know what those things are and how to use them. {linebreak}- You understand how to present data to users, and the technical ramifications of your methods. This is a VERY vast topic, and you'll be expected to speak intelligently about it. {linebreak}- Worked in startups before. You understand the intricacies of working with a small team, and are ready to do it all over again. {linebreak}{linebreak}Qualifications:{linebreak}{linebreak}Experience: 1 to 4 years experience in a similar role.{linebreak}Language: English{linebreak}- We substantially prefer experience over academia.{linebreak}{linebreak}Skills:{linebreak}{linebreak}User Interface, Design User Experience, Data Visualization, Analytics, HTML, CSS {linebreak}{linebreak}Perks:{linebreak}{linebreak}- Work with people who have done this before{linebreak}- A competitive startup salary{linebreak}- Stock options - a part of this company could be yours{linebreak}- Grow the early stage of a company{linebreak}{linebreak}{linebreak}Extra tags: User Interface Design, User Experience, Data Visualization, HTML , CSS

{linebreak}We’re building a web application that will help people explore and visualize 100's of millions of objects at interactive rates. We’re looking for somebody to architect the application, help hire a team, and then lead the development effort and bring the application into production. The implementation is from scratch, but is based on experience with an in-production legacy system, so the requirements are as solid as they come.{linebreak}{linebreak}This is a full-time position offering a market-competitive salary and benefits. Teraviz is being built by a small (but growing) and very stable company that has been delivering big-data solutions for decades. The team is distributed, but you will need to travel regularly (once or twice a month) to the East Coast for in-person meetings, candidates along the Boston-Washington Corridor may find this easier.{linebreak}{linebreak}You will need to have full-stack understanding of everything from how databases work to how to design a GUI, and will be expected to do significant coding. The database has been chosen, but you'll be responsible for picking the rest of the technology stack. Knowledge of web visualization technologies, for example D3.js, would be great. However, you won’t need to do it alone, as you will help choose 2-3 more people to round out your development team.{linebreak}{linebreak}You will need to have led a small team before, be experienced enough to recognize “danger areas” in the plans and schedules you put together, and have reasoned opinions on architectural approaches and development methodologies. You’ll also need to feel comfortable communicating with company management about plans, including justifying budget proposals and updating them on progress.{linebreak}{linebreak}Since the project involves integrating with new database technology (we’re one of the first few licensees), there’s no way to ask for experience with that aspect. Instead, we need somebody who can get up to speed quickly. We believe that requires an existing strong understanding of how databases work down to a fairly low level. To be clear, you won’t need to do implementation work on the database (it’s a very new commercial off-the-shelf system), but you will need to know enough to recognize when things are going sideways and be able to communicate effectively with the vendor's field engineers.{linebreak}{linebreak}If you're interested and think you can do the job, please contact us and we can answer any questions and get you additional details.

{linebreak}Hello, we are a growing software services firm looking for self-motivated Javascript developers who can work from home 4 days a week and spend 1 day a week on-site in Gaithersburg, MD. Our client is leading the development effort of a web-based data visualization tool for the Intelligence Community. The existing system is a high-powered, fat-client application that crunches massive amounts of geospatial imagery for analysts. The customer wants to migrate all of this functionality into a web application, and has given our client 6 months to build a functional prototype. At the end of this 6 month prototype effort, the government is expected to award a 4 to 5 year contract to release the prototype enterprise wide.{linebreak}{linebreak}The development team is led by an experienced software engineer who is passionate about new technologies - a rare personality trait in the federal sector. If you want to join a team that will define the vision and technical roadmap of an IC customer for years to come, this is the place for you.{linebreak}{linebreak}The ideal candidate has experience with D3 and other modern front-end frameworks (jQuery, AngularJS, Backbone, Bootstrap, etc), and some backend experience (Java, Spring, Hibernate).{linebreak}{linebreak}This position is only open to US citizens who are eligible for a security clearance. Payment options are 1099 or hourly W2 at rates between $55 per hour to $75 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.{linebreak}{linebreak}We look forward to hearing from you!
