\nWeathermatic is looking for top performing developers who want challenging work that actually makes a difference in the world.  Our core application is built on Ruby on Rails, but we make heavy use of Javascript (Backbone.js for the most part) and a bit of Golang as well.  Our software interacts heavily with irrigation controllers in the field, and we are on the forefront of commercial implementation of the Internet of Things. \n\nWe are based in Dallas, TX.  Remote working is fine on a day-to-day basis, but we would prefer someone near enough DFW to be able to come in for occasional meetings, training, etc.  For the right candidate, fully remote will be considered.\n\nPrimary Responsibilities\n\n\n* Building new functionality in our Ruby on Rails application\n\n* Strategically implement client-side Javascript to provide great user experiences\n\n* Help develop our analytics platform to provide actionable data to customers and internal teams\n\n* Optimize and refactor existing code as you go\n\n* Help build and document APIs for consumption by other internal services, or by customers outside the company\n\n* Write scalable, well-tested code (Rspec)\n\n\n
