\nDGACM is looking for a DevOps Engineer to provide management of Microsoft Azure infrastructure and optimization of software development and deployment processes. The incumbents will report to and work under the direct supervision of the Senior Computational Linguist. \n\nUnder delegated authority, the DevOps Engineer will perform the following duties: \n\nSupport software development processes and implementation of new software releases through management of Microsoft Azure infrastructure; \n\nProactively monitor and maintain hosting and development infrastructure in Microsoft Azure cloud; \n\nMaintain and implement security best practices; proactively investigate improvements to infrastructure security; \n\nSuggest and assist with implementation of process and cost improvements to Microsoft Azure hosting infrastructure; \n\nImplement scripting and coding solutions to support the software lifecycle, including provisioning of cloud resources; \n\nCooperate and communicate closely with software development and quality assurance teams to ensure efficient processes; \n\nMaintain and optimize deployment infrastructure; \n\nKeep abreast of developments in the field of Microsoft Azure and DevOps and propose new tools, processes and strategies as appropriate; \n\nPerform other work-related duties as assigned. \n\nQualifications/Special Skills \n\nAcademic Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Relevant additional post-secondary education is an asset. \n\nExperience: A minimum of five years of experience in the Microsoft Azure cloud management is required. \n\nExperience in developing Powershell scripts is required. Experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS required. Experience with Software Configuration Management and build tools such as Team Foundation Server or Azure DevOps is required. Experience with deployment tools like Octopus Deploy or Azure DevOps Release Pipelines is required. CISSP or equivalent security certification is desirable. Practical experience and knowledge of C# coding is desirable. \n\nLanguage: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
