\nWe're building a brand new web product that is to be accessible on Desktop, tablet and mobile. We're almost done with our designs and need someone to kick-start the client side development.\n\nConverting the designs to HTML/CSS is not a must, however if you have these skills let us know as we will be needing to convert them to a twitter bootstrap based theme. We can get this done elsewhere if needed.\n\nWe're mainly looking for someone with extremely good JavaScript skills with lots of experience with backbone.js and possible React. If you have any experience with Scala then that is great too.\n\nPull data will be provided by a secure REST API, and real-time data updates will be pushed to the client via stomp web sockets. Most of the data will be displayed in tables and cell content will need to be updated when data is received.  \n\nYou will be working with sports related data so if you have an interest in live sports then that is an added bonus.\n\nInitially this is a one-time project however if you like the work and it's a good match then it could go onto being an ongoing position.

\nTXODDS, a leading odds data provider for the top betting companies in Europe and Asia, are looking for  a Scala and data-driven applications developer to boost their capability for delivering rapid and high quality updates to the mid-tier and in-flight and at-rest data-centric applications.  \n\n The candidate will need to have a confident level of knowledge of the up-to-date algorithmic and functional development cycle. They will have to absorb and become familiar with a complicated codebase that spans a number of different technologies with the recent re-write ongoing in Scala. The knowledge of such technologies as the Hadoop stack including Spark, Kafka, JMS, Redis, Cassandra as well as of MysQL and SQL Server are very important and experience or exposure to Python and Go would be a great bonus.\n\n The company has committed to good documentation in Confluence and Jira as well as a fast turnaround ticketing system for customers. Working on the ongoing issues will also be part of the job definition.  \n\n The role will be on a long lasting basis, organised in a flexible way with home work in combination with travel to meetings in Europe (and possibly, the Far East) the likely option but a distinct possibility to join a more stable office in Amsterdam, Barcelona or Bratislava later on. The remuneration will be negotiable but will match the current market rates and be according to experience.
