\nThe AWS Cloud Developer will work with senior developers, research scientists, contractors, and team developers to design and implement the second version of our real-time cloud service, BigLearn, which provides personalized recommendations and performance prediction to students using OpenStax Tutor and CourseWare.\n\nThe AWS Cloud developer will reengineer BigLearn to use AWS services more efficiently, and separate fast query response code from slower calculation code that runs periodically.\n\nThe Cloud developer should have in-depth Amazon Web Service (AWS) knowledge to help manage the architectural components at the box/pipe/database level and help configure certain “elastic” processing segments that will automatically scale to match request loads.
