\nWe are looking for a DevOps Engineer to help us build the next generation of our upsell decisions platform. You will join the Nor1 Tech team, who are a collaborative group of engineers, product managers, and data scientists. You will work directly with the DevOps engineers, focusing on the core ‘continuous’ DevOps practices: continuous integration and delivery, automation, and continuous feedback. \n\nPrimary Responsibilities\n\n\n* Writing specifications, documentation, and standards to guide the team.\n\n* Monitor, maintain, and test the health of the server infrastructure; build out servers and service nodes. \n\n* Coordinate, identify, and resolve issues across the entire network, server, application, and software stack. \n\n* Integrate and develop tools for CI/CD, monitoring, and config management towards automation and engineer self-service capabilities. \n\n* Stay current with best practices and emerging technologies to incorporate into our operations and stack. \n\n\n\n\nSkills & Qualifications\n\n\n* Experience operating in cloud environments; AWS strongly preferred.\n\n* Proficient with Linux operating systems. \n\n* Strong scripting and coding fluency in Python.\n\n* Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.\n\n* Capable to troubleshoot proxy servers. \n\n* Effective communication skills. \n\n\n\n\nNor1 Technology Stack\n\n\n* MongoDB, MySQL, Redshift, Redis\n\n* NginX, Route53, Apache, ELB\n\n* Mix of AWS cloud services and IBM Cloud (bare metal servers)\n\n\n\n* Centos, Amazon Linux, Windows Server\n\n\n\n* Python (main), PHP, Javascript, NodeJS\n\n* Docker, Swarm, K8s\n\n* OpsGenie, Jira, Confluence, Nagios, Pingdom, ELK stack, Docker, Detectify, Tennable.io\n\n\n

\nWe are looking for a back-end Software Engineer to help us build the next generation of our upsell decisions platform. You will join the Nor1 Tech team, who are a collaborative group of engineers, product managers, and data scientists. Rather quickly, we will look to your technical expertise to create reliable, scalable, and high-performance components. \n\nPrimary Responsibilities\n\n\n* Own the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of our backend components:  applications, data, infrastructure, analytics, and deployment. \n\n* Establish architectural principles, select design patterns, and lead engineers on their applications. \n\n* Work with the team to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology, and evaluate technical feasibility. \n\n* Stay current with best practices and emerging technologies to incorporate into our operations and stack. \n\n\n\n\nSkills & Qualifications\n\n\n* 5 years experience with building high-performance, highly-available and scalable distributed systems.\n\n* BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field preferred.\n\n* High Proficiency in Python;\n\n* Proficiency with Docker and containerized micro services in major clouds (AWS, GCS, Azure…)\n\n* PHP or NodeJS is a plus. \n\n* Experience with MySQL and MongoDB data stores.\n\n* Know-how with secure coding practices, e.g. OWASP guidelines, is preferred. \n\n* Developed and deployed applications on AWS; integration with AWS managed services is a plus. \n\n* Have DevOps mentality, reduce friction with automation.\n\n* Working understanding of CI/CD and configuration management.\n\n* Exposure to machine learning pipelines and online inference \n\n* A willingness to dive deep, experiment rapidly, and get things done.\n\n\n\n\nNor1 Technology Stack\n\n\n* MongoDB, MySQL, Redshift, Redis\n\n* NginX, Route53, Apache, ELB\n\n* Mix of AWS cloud services and IBM Cloud (bare metal servers)\n\n\n\n* Centos, Amazon Linux, Windows Server\n\n\n\n* Python (main), PHP, Javascript, NodeJS\n\n* Docker, Swarm, K8s\n\n* OpsGenie, Jira, Confluence, Nagios, Pingdom, ELK stack, Docker, Detectify, Tennable.io\n\n\n
