Hotjar is looking for a driven and ambitious DevOps Engineer with Big Data experience to support and expand our cloud-based infrastructure used by thousands of sites around the world. The Hotjar infrastructure currently processes more than 7500 API requests per second, delivers over a billion pieces of static content every week and hosts databases well into terabyte-size ranges, making this an interesting and challenging opportunity. As Hotjar continues to grow rapidly, we are seeking an engineer who has experience dealing with high traffic cloud based applications and can help Hotjar scale as our traffic multiplies.

In this position, you will:

Be part of our DevOps team building and maintaining our web application and server environment.

Hotjar is looking for a structured, ambitious and driven executive and leader that is passionate about business management and growth. In this role you will be focused on optimizing and scaling up the organization in a sustainable and structured way that allows us to retain our company culture and fulfill the Hotjar vision of empowering designers and marketers all around the world to build better experiences for their users and customers.

As VP of Operations you will be responsible for:

Planning and coordinating of operations in support of the company’s growth. This includes financial planning and budgeting, formulating policies and strategic plans for future growth, managing daily operations of teams, administration and other departments.
Improving operational efficiency and develop plans to meet future needs in areas such as customer support and engagement, and product development velocity.
Monitoring revenue margins, financial ratios, cash flow and KPIs. This includes creating and presenting performance reports for the entire Hotjar team and the Board of Directors. In this capacity you will also be collaborating with third parties such as accountants and auditors.
Formulating recruitment procedures, training and incentive plans, maintaining efficient team structure, evaluations and performance through analytics, processes and tools.
Build, mentor, and manage a world-class team to deliver high performance, secure, and high availability SaaS service to our customers worldwide.
Measuring effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes both internally and externally by setting operational metric goals and manage the organization to meet or exceed those metrics by iteratively improving processes.
Lead and manage security, risk management, certification, compliance, contractual or other legal processes across the entire organization.

Requirements:

Masters degree in business or related field.
At least 3 years of strong operational experience in a SaaS organization.
Financial planning, data analysis and budgeting skills.
Previous experience overseeing human resources, information technology, and legal.
Skilled in organizational development, personnel management, budget and resource development, and strategic planning.
Excellent people skills, with an ability to work with a dynamic leadership team.
Flexible and able to multitask and work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions.
Hands on, practical and willing to learn.
Possess personal qualities of integrity, loyalty, credibility, and commitment to the Hotjar vision.
