\nIn the great Northwest they call it an SDET.  Other places they call it a Software Quality Engineer.  Whatever they call it, it's you.  You've somehow found yourself writing code that tests other people's code.\n\nAt Granbury we respect the mighty SQE and we'll need your help making sure drunk college kids can order pizza on their phones.  And no, that isn't a joke.  You'll use a new front end test automation tool we've built on top of Selenium WebDriver to make sure our online ordering systems work reliably and accurately.\n\nLike Wes Mantooth, the other developers may hate you for it, but they will respect you.\n\nAnd they'll work with you.  When you need DOM elements to have id's, they will give you id's.  You won't have to slog your way through with unwieldy xpath expressions.  You won't be a second class citizen and you'll get the respect and support you need.  No code ships without a green bar from you.\n\nAnd you'll do all this from the comfort of your own home.  This is a remote position, but you'll keep in touch with your team with daily virtual standups.  We'll pick a spot on the map every so often and get together for a technical conference (including PNSQC in October) or an in person design confab. But most importantly, you'll help level the technology playing field for mom and pop pizza shops in their struggle against corporate pizza.  If you have a grudge against the major pizza chains, this is your chance to get even.

\nThe college kids of the world demand the right to order pizza on their phones.  The mom and pop pizza joints of the world (who have much better pizza than the big chains) want to sell pizza to college kids with phones.  That's where you come in.  You will actually get paid to build a mobile pizza ordering application.\n\nYou'll do this using a Javascript centric approach like Cordova or Ionic.  This means you're most comfortable in Javascript, but you know enough Java, Objective C, or Swift to get through the tough times.\n\nPizza delivery has turned into a technology arms race and you'll join a real David and Goliath struggle against the major national pizza chains.  We're building a technology arsenal that independent pizza restaurants and mom and pop operations can use to compete toe to toe with the big three.  If you want to knock that smug look off Papa John's face, then you must join us.\n\nYou'll work with people who are as nice as they are smart.  You'll get the guidance you need and you won't be shamed when you stumble across a problem you don't know how to solve on your own.  You'll deal with a minimum of corporate nonsense and get the freedom to do things right.

\nGranbury Solutions is building a next generation technology stack for our restaurant and winery management platforms and we need your help.  We need a DevOps Engineer to work alongside our core product engineers to make sure they have the information, tools, and reliable systems they need to help our customers sell pizza - because we make software for pizza.  And yes, we know that's awesome.\n\nYou'll enable greater levels of pizza success using Elastic Search, Logstash, and Kibana to organize log data and metrics from thousands of cloud and in store systems.  You'll combine log data with browser crash reporting tools and server resource metrics to assemble a total picture of how our systems are behaving in the field complete with pretty charts and graphs.  You'll help modernize our continuous integration pipeline with Jenkins.  And you'll help keep our AWS services up and running using tools like CloudFormation and Ansible.\n\nYou'll work with people who are as nice as they are smart.  You'll get the guidance you need and you won't be shamed when you stumble across a problem you don't know how to solve on your own.  You'll deal with a minimum of corporate nonsense and get the freedom to do things right.  \n\nAnd you'll do all this from the comfort of your own home.  This is a remote position, but you'll keep in touch with your team with daily virtual standups.  We'll pick a spot on the map every so often and get together for a technical conference or in person design confab.  But most importantly, you'll give hard working locally owned pizza joints a real chance in their struggle against the empire.  Seriously.

\nIn the great Northwest they call it an SDET.  Other places they call it a Test Engineer or Test Developer.  Whatever they call it, it's you.  You've somehow found yourself writing code that tests other people's code.\n\nAt Granbury we respect the mighty SDET and we'll need your help laying a safety net for a major refactoring effort.  You'll use a new front end test automation tool we've built on top of Selenium WebDriver to make sure our wine club, wine e-commerce, and tasting room point-of-sale systems work reliably and accurately.\n\nLike Wes Mantooth, the other developers may hate you for it, but they will respect you.\n\nAnd they'll work with you. And yes, there will probably be free wine and excuses to take your main squeeze on a trip to Napa Valley.  After we ship the most stable release in the company's history thanks to your efforts, you'll walk into the Napa office to a slow teary eyed round of applause.

\nWe probably shouldn't tell you this, but practically the entire wine industry's eCommerce systems run on ColdFusion.  Let that sink in for a moment.  You can practically hear the Sarah McClachlan music and see the sad puppies.\n\nSomebody has to rescue the wine industry and that person will be you.  You'll lead a brand new team to rebuild our wine industry technology from the ground up.  In the process you'll help fuse our wine technology with our restaurant point-of-sale systems - because it turns out, a lot of wineries have restaurants.  They're great for date nights.\n\nYou'll work with other teams in our restaurant software division to create a modular architecture that we can all share.  It'll be microservice-ish, but not full blown because wine is a niche industry without the scale and team size of most microservice adopters.  This process is already underway in the restaurant division and the tech stack is Spring Boot, Couchbase, Rabbit MQ, and Elastic Search with Angular 2 on the front end.  You can live with that.\n\nYou'll lead a small team of engineers as they modernize the old ColdFusion tech stack.  You'll be expected to be a hands on coder, particularly on the back end, leading by example.  You'll deal with a minimum of corporate nonsense and get the freedom to do things right.\n\nAnd you'll do all this from the comfort of your own home.  This is a remote position, but you'll keep in touch with your team with daily virtual standups.  We'll pick a spot on the map every so often and get together for a technical conference or in person design confab.  And yes, there will probably be free wine and excuses to take your main squeeze on a trip to Napa Valley.  Tying a sweater around your neck for the duration is optional.

\nDid you know wine isn't just a hack people use to run Windows on Linux?  Turns out it's also a beverage.  Turns out it's a whole industry with its own special snowflake technical needs. \n\nYou my friend, will help meet those needs by building a next generation platform for winery and tasting room management.  You'll focus on the front end and use the new fangled Angular 2 framework to build modular component libraries and finished applications.  \n\nAnd you won't go it alone.  You'll work with smart and thrill seeking people who've already shipped production Angular 2 applications.  You'll have the support you need to do it right, at least until Google changes their mind again about what right is.  (Angular CLI, anyone?)\n\nYou can work from anywhere, but you'll meet your peers in person occasionally at technical conferences or at our offices in the heart of Napa.  If you like wine, you'll probably get enough free wine to make some really bad decisions*.  Let's see the insurance company you just sent your resume to top that.\n\n* Granbury Solutions does not officially endorse bad decisions...or insurance companies.
