\nNeeds to be able to work US East Coast 8:30 AM-7:00 PM.  We are hiring 2 people so you have 4 day x 10 hour shifts including alternating Saturdays.\n\nJob Description\n\nEverQuote is seeking to hire Senior SRE/Support Engineer who have experience testing, maintaining, monitoring and operating at least 3-4 production grade software products at scale.  We are seeking customer oriented engineers who have detective like personalities to dig into logs (Logz.io, Cloudwatch, ELK, Loggly, Stackdriver), monitoring tools (Grafana, ELK, Datadog, NewRelic, AppDynamics), exception logging (Sentry, Airbrake, Bugsnag, Rollbar, Raygun) and replicate user issues.  If you are comfortable with scripting (python, bash) and SQL to create automated workflows, API integrations or data extraction it will be a big plus.  Having an opinion for building great software services with great attention to detail to meet end user needs is very important.\n\nWe respect people who continuously improve and who always think from the end user’s perspective.\n\nQualifications\n\nIf you meet all or some of these qualifications and want to grow in these areas, you are welcome to apply.\n\n\n* Research and identify solutions to software and hardware issues and create tools to diagnose issues more efficiently\n\n* Implement best practices around quality assurance and operations monitoring of software products\n\n* Fix bugs, deploy hotfix changes to software when needed (comfortable with git, code review, databases and deployments)\n\n* Implement on-call rotations, integrate alerting systems and manage post-mortem for incidents\n\n* Analyze system/software health and product features through logging tools (Logz.io, Cloudwatch, ELK, Loggly, Stackdriver), monitoring tools (Grafana, ELK, Datadog, NewRelic, AppDynamics), and exception logging (Sentry, Airbrake, Bugsnag, Rollbar, Raygun)\n\n* Work with software engineers to transfer knowledge of the product and train or educate end users on technical features\n\n* Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including account setup and network configuration, data issues in the database\n\n* Ask customers targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem\n\n* Track computer system issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits\n\n* Talk clients through a series of actions, either via phone, email or chat, until they’ve solved a technical issue\n\n* Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g. software developers)\n\n* Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers\n\n* Refer to internal database or external resources to provide accurate tech solutions\n\n* Ensure all issues are properly logged\n\n* Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time\n\n* Follow up with clients to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting\n\n* Prepare accurate and timely reports\n\n* Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals\n\n* Big plus: you have been a process driven QA engineer, you have experiences in API testing, load testing, penetration testing, you know how to edit and run terraform, managed GCP/AWS resources or have AWS architecture certification\n\n* Maintain jovial relationships with end users\n\n\n\n\nWe are still a small team of 20 inside EverQuote and growing to build a distributed team.  We are looking for someone who will fit in this role and is excited about making a huge impact in insurance tech, while working in a collegial, highly collaborative environment—replete with many of the latest communication tools (Slack, Hangouts, JIRA, Confluence, Google Drive etc.)—with the flexibility of working from anywhere (we are distributed across Seattle, Boston, India and Europe).\n\n\nIf you are excited to partake in the growth of EverQuote and take on this challenge please email at [email protected] with your resume and answer to the following survey: https://forms.gle/q3k2P7UbTezBTCSJ9yagJzhkdapAsCMnUw7CpJAMi

\nWe are looking for a Product Leader who enjoys working on challenging, high impact, greenfield problems. As Director of Product Management, you are responsible for understanding customer needs, agent needs, market trends, and defining product roadmaps that use technology effectively to dramatically improve customer and agent experience. The services and operations we own will be responsible for millions of dollars in revenue, resulting in us having a huge opportunity to move the needle in a positive direction. The team has a strong group of senior engineering and business talent, so it will be a great place for someone to deliver results.\n\nThis role will own Product for our On-Demand Agency (ODA), and initially it will be individual contributor with opportunity to lead a group of Product Managers after 18 months that drive growth and own strategy for ODA. As part of the leadership team, you will envision, design, deliver, plan and drive both customer facing and agent facing innovations to enable critical business operations. Specifically, you will report directly to the EVP of ODA and partner with other functional leaders in Engineering, UX design, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Distribution, Traffic Acquisition, Legal, and Finance, to translate the business requirements into world class technical specifications. You will have end to end ownership - all the way from defining the strategy to measuring metrics to monitoring day to day progress of these programs. You will provide direct visibility to senior leadership on all aspects of your programs on a regular cadence.\n\nYou must be comfortable dealing with tremendous ambiguity, be strongly technical, be an analytical & critical thinker, and possess excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
