\nEditShare is seeking a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to perform automated and manual testing of upcoming software releases, and also to assist in building up a growing automated regression-testing repertoire that can be run on daily builds. Our applications run on Linux, Windows and OS X. By in large, our backend code is written in Python and C++ with GTK, Qt and some web UIs. We are looking for candidates who have previous experience testing applications on all three operating systems. Testing interoperability between our software and third-party video and audio editing applications (including Avid, Final Cut and Adobe Premiere) is an important part of our QA mission, so having experience with video editing software and media asset management (MAM) workflows would be a big plus, although not absolutely required.\n\nProducts to be tested may include:\n\n\n* High performance NAS Storage Systems, including EditShare’s new distributed scale-out file system (EFS) and related software that facilitates media sharing and collaborative video editing.\n\n* Video servers that provide broadcast-quality capture and playout capabilities.\n\n* A MySQL-powered Media Asset Management system for logging, browsing, searching, and organizing media.\n\n* Backup and archiving applications that allow customers to move and copy media between different tiers of storage including LTO tapes.\n\n\n
