CourseWorld.org, a nonprofit video library of Arts & Humanities lectures, is looking for board candidates who share a passion for liberal arts education and the possibilities of online technology.\n \nResponsibilities vary based on individual backgrounds and areas of expertise. Generally speaking, as a small but fast-growing grassroots initiative, we are looking for assistance in professionalizing our organization and helping to secure funding โ€“ especially as a means of improving our online platform. \n \nOur initiative is fully volunteer-run. For further background, interested candidates are welcome to request a handbook that outlines the structure of our organization, volunteer activities, and marketing initiatives.\n\nTogether, let's make it possible for anyone in the world to access a quality liberal arts education for free.\n\n==\n\nWe are looking for candidates who possess a keen interest in higher education (especially the arts and humanities) and who believe in the promise of Internet technology to democratize access for all.\n \nBeyond this, we welcome the opportunity to learn more about your individual background and areas of expertise to determine how best you can help further our mission.\n \nAs a global initiative, NYC residence is not required. For those board members not locally based, meetings can be attended by phone or videoconference.\n\n==\n\nExpress interest via AngelList or LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/jobs2/view/11140038) \n\n#Salary\n0 - 0\n \n\n#Equity\n0.0 - 0.0\n \n\n#Location\n- New York City

When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. That is a scam! Posts that link to pages with "how to work online" are also scams. Don't use them or pay for them. Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. Scams in remote work are rampant, be careful! When clicking on the button to apply above, you will leave Remote OK and go to the job application page for that company outside this site. CourseWorld.org, a popular nonprofit online education website, is looking for a volunteer web designer/developer (or web development firm) to improve our website.\n\nBeyond the intangible benefits, this pro-bono arrangement has the possibility of significant PR/marketing gains for your firm โ€“ aligning you with the online education revolution (VentureBeat called us the โ€œHulu for the Humanitiesโ€) and your commitment to social causes and social entrepreneurship. Learn more about CourseWorld at http://www.courseworld.org/about.\n \nLaunched in September 2013, CourseWorld.org is the webโ€™s largest library of (30,000+) curated YouTube lectures in the arts and humanities. Unfortunately, as youโ€™ll observe, it has a fairly โ€œold-fashionedโ€ look and feel. Fortunately, much of the hard initial work is done: the site functions well and its components have been carefully planned. But it still needs a considerable overhaul to modernize the appearance/UI and improve overall performance.\n \nOur nonprofit initiative is fully volunteer-run with $0 budget (i.e., no salaries), funded by modest personal savings. We welcome the opportunity to discuss any pro-bono assistance you may be able to provide. \n\n#Salary\n0 - 0\n \n\n#Equity\n - \n \n\n#Location\n- New York City
