Tourism/Travel a plus\n* KPIs: mentions, links, social signals as primary. Visits and leads as secondary.\n* Favourite approach: data-driven PRable stories. (95% of the team has the same setup, some folks have been with us for 4+ years).\n\n\n## The Company\nWe are a Digital Marketing Agency specialised in data & optimisation. Our motto: Traffic is nice. Revenue is better.\n\nWe improve our clients' marketing performance by:\n1. We get an idea of what’s happening via Analytics and Data Science, ([Find more about Analytics](https://www.inmarketingwetrust.com.sg/analytics/) [and data science](https://www.inmarketingwetrust.com.sg/data-science/))\n2. We improve their sales using CRO techniques ([Find more about CRO](https://www.inmarketingwetrust.com.sg/conversion-rate-optimisation//))\n3. We get more people on the site using Paid Search (aka AdWords), SEO, content marketing, and PR ([Find more about Search](https://www.inmarketingwetrust.com.sg/seo/))\n\nWe are picky about the clients we bring on-board.\nWe won’t engage with a firm unless we believe we can make a difference to their business and help them Get Stuff Done.\n\nThis stops us from taking on board demoralising projects and having us hating our jobs and our clients.\nWe have sacked clients a few times not because we were not making money but because we were not making a difference and they were taking too much headspace for nothing.\n\nThe current agency model is broken, and we believe we can build a better alternative. But we need great people to help make this happen and that where you come in.\n\nOur Core Values\n\n**Drive & GSD**\n* Questions that reflect this value: Am I looking at Outcome or I am just satisfied with Output or even worse Input?\n* Statement that reflects this value: Done is Better than Perfect. \n**Curious & Creative**\n* Questions that reflect this value: Does it have to be this way?\n* Statement that reflects this value: OK, let me see if there is a better solution to solve this problem \n**Dependability & Independence**\n* Questions that reflect this value: Can I count on you?\n* Statement that reflects this value: Yep, I got this! Not sure exactly how but I'll figure it out \n**Humility & Honesty**\n* Questions that reflect this value: Is this the right thing to do? I am new to this, can you teach me?\n* Statement that reflects this value: Oh man... the more I learn about [topic], the less I feel like I know what I am talking about \n\n\nCareer progression is based on your ability to deliver and drive ideas and difference for both client and the company, not your ability to play politics or by the cut of your suit.\n_(in fact, we have a no pinstripe suit policy, we are not Accenture)_\n\n## The Practical Bits\n\nWe work with a lot of freelancers/digital nomads so we put together our policies to fit their needs.\n\n* We agree on a price (per day, per hour, per article, per project) early on and try to stick to it. \n** We prefer price per article or per project as it is output/outcome driven rather than input driven. \n** For per project/article price, we review within the first 1-2 months to make sure estimates on both sides are correct.\n* We pay on a weekly basis. We ask invoice to be raised in advanced so the account manager can validate and approve it with finance. We transfer to whatever currency or PayPal account you need\n* For ongoing work or long-term projects, we ask folks to track their time and workload using Teamwork (our project management tool similar to asana, trello, Basecamp).\n* We always have an account/project manager for each project. They are there to make sure everything works smoothly, clear obstacles, obtain extra resources when needed and keep the client happy and informed.\n* Our onboarding process is quite robust and we make sure you know how we work and what’s happening from the day 1\n* We provide regular feedback (weekly or monthly) and measure progression against areas of improvement\n\n\n## How we work with clients\n\nWe like clarity and quantifiable objectives, even with PR and outreach.\n\nWe usually agree with the client on a number of mentions or links per quarter\nWe break that down per month and allow a degree of flexibility on a monthly basis.\nFor PR/Link projects, we like to start small, safe projects likely to yield a modest number of mentions but more like to hit our targets. \nWe thrive to have initial projects done with as little oversight/work from the client.\nThese elements help us win our client trust that we can do the work. From there we expand into more interesting ambitious projects.\n\n\n## The Task Description\n\n**Summary**\n\nCreate and deliver PR/Content/Outreach campaigns and content driving mentions and visibility for our client.\n\nFreedom to suggest and implement content marketing projects\n\nThis role is a hands-on work so you will be requested to\n1) Research ideas with PR/outreach potential\n2) Pitch opportunities and project to team and client\n\nTo help you with these tasks, you will be given access to client contact, client data (provided not sensitive), content production, dev resources, and media budget to help boost the visibility of any content piece and placement created.\n\nKPIs are being discussed with the client and we look forward to obtaining your input. Our usual KPIs have centred around:\n* quality of mentions and articles disseminated\n* number of mentions and articles disseminated\n* Social media activity per campaigns\n* opportunities presented and selected\n* cost and impact of campaigns/projects\n\nContact, experience and previous examples doing PR/outreach within the car/automotive industry are highly regarded.\n\n## About the client\n——————-\nThe site is a large consumer-oriented car website in DK\nTheir focus is to boost the classifieds section of their site\nThey are looking to boost their SEO authority.\n\n==> Our plan is to do a mix of PR, content marketing and useful/relevant link building.\n==> There is a bit of clean up and strategy work to go before we go live.\n\n \n\n## The Ideal Candidate\n———————–\n\n### Skills and Experience\n\n* +3 years experience in a Content/PR/link building role (agency experience will be an advantage)\n* Content/PR or Journalistic background\n* High attention to detail\n* Native Danish speaker\n* Good English (writing and speaking) to help to communicate with the rest of the team\n* Great organisational and time-management skills\n* Must be able to work unsupervised, be dependable and own the job\n* Proven success in managing the complete editorial process (writing, editing, proofreading, fact-checking & production)\n* Ability to work in a geek-friendly environment\n\n\n### Key Attributes\n\n**Be a problem solver**\n* Business acumen \n* Ability to balance best in class recommendations with client priorities and limitations. \n* Develop and execute integrated strategies in complex, challenging environments.\n**Be a people person**\n* Solid verbal and written communication skills\n* Excellent relationship building skills\n* Experience and interest in supporting new business initiatives\n**Be an organised person**\n* Strong project management experience\n* Ruthless focus on meeting time vs. budget objectives\n**Be a curious person**\n* A relentless curiosity and an inquisitive mind\n* Familiarity with emerging technology\n* Knowledge of trends and innovations in digital media\n**Attributes and behaviours we love to see**\n* Ownership of your work\n* Inquisitive\n* Analytical\n* Solution oriented\n* Results orientated\n* Collegiate and supportive\n* A sense of humour\n\nIf this sounds just like you, then follow the application process. I’m hiring an experienced link builder who will have a huge impact in my tiny company.\nI’d like to hire you if you:\n* Have successfully used a variety of outreach methods in multiple projects\n* Have used white-hat tactics to get quality links from authoritative websites\n* Have excellent written and verbal English skills\n* Live within 8 hours of GMT-6/-7 (MST/MDT)\n* Want to work from home\n* And we get along\nMy company is called Custody X Change. I’ve been working on the business since 2004. We sell software that creates child custody schedules and parenting plans. We have an upcoming web-version that will make it easy for families to communicate about custody scheduling, children’s activities, and shared expenses. This will reduce a lot of conflict. And it will save people a ton of money in legal fees.\nWe’ve done all of our SEO in-house, and its gone pretty well. We have decent traffic. However, we've spent more effort in improving our content than in generating links.\nYou'll be a team of one. You'll get to come up with ideas and you’ll get to implement them. Your success will be judged on the links you acquire. The links we’re looking for are from highly-related websites or from authoritative websites. The best links send referrals that convert.\nHow to apply:\n* Write a PDF cover letter; convince me that you want this particular job.\n* Show me that you're great; give me examples of ways you've successfully built links.\n* Somehow use the word “tomato” in your cover letter and in the subject of your email.\n* Email that, and your PDF resume, to me, at [CXC Jobs at Gmail dot com].\nThanks,\n-Ben\nP.S. \nAbout this role\n\nWe’re looking for a software engineer to work on our GraphQL API, other backend services, and full stack on web-based apps. Our stack is Node.js, PostgreSQL, React, GraphQL for web and backend. You’ll work alongside other engineers who will work on our Swift and Kotlin native mobile apps and rely on the GraphQL API.\n\nWe will consider hiring at either junior, mid or senior level (we're building a team).\n\nA typical day\n\nThe mornings will usually have a standup meeting. The aim is to update everyone, co-ordinate the day, and organise any collaboration.\n\nAfter that, you may get stuck into some coding, or developing ideas. At various points you will ask for advice (or give advice). If other team members are free, you might go to a whiteboard together, and work on some problems together.\n\nWhen working on a major feature/project, you’d be given a brief by the product manager. You would then have to create a design document along with a product designer. That might be a 2-3 page doc describing the problem and proposed solution.\n\nUsually, you would say how you’re approaching the issue and discuss alternatives you have considered and why you rejected them. You would pitch it to the product manager and the rest of the team.\n\nOn other days, the focus may be on pure coding, i.e. improving fix, fixing problems, or working on deploying a feature.\n\nWhere you’ll work\n\nWe have a base in Beehive Lofts in Ancoats in Manchester.\n\nYou will occasionally need to travel to see customers, although you wouldn’t necessarily need a car to be able to do that. Full travel expenses will be paid.\n\nThere is a lift in the building with ground level access, and should you need to use this we can arrange a visit to check it is suitable.\n\nNecessary skills\n\n\n* Great written communicator\n\n* Able to work with others in the team to develop ideas and designs, approachable and easy going\n\n* Can work quickly but maintain quality\n\n* Puts the customer at the heart of all product decisions, on a constant quest to understand the customer’s wants and needs\n\n* Able to put together collaborative documents to communicate the possible approaches and recommended implementation for new features\n\n* Attention to detail, we create quality products\n\n\n\n\nQualifications and experience\n\n\n* 3+ years of experience as a software developer\n\n* Solid Node.js and JavaScript knowledge\n\n* Desirable: GraphQL experience\n\n* Desirable: PostgreSQL experience\n\n* Desirable: Typescript experience\n\n* Desirable: React experience (or similar framework)\n\n* Desirable: Mobile app development experience\n\n\n\n\nSalary & benefits\n\n\n* Excellent salary (depends on level hired at - junior, mid or senior)\n\n* Pension\n\n* Travel expenses\n\n* Mobile phone allowance\n\n* Coffee, tea & snacks provided\n\n\n

Analysts using our geospatial visualization capability can instantly visualize and publish for data discovery and model testing on any desktop, mobile or tablet device.  \n\nWho We Need\n\nCultural Fit - While we hire all kinds of people and invent roles to fit them, there are three key traits we require of every team member that really define our team.\n\n*  Fun to Work With - Life is short and work should be fun.  \n\n*  Extremely Smart - We work on cutting edge hard problems and we need people who can both architect and code these systems at the same time while working with a highly intelligent peer group.  \n\n* Passionate Engineers - We need people who really love programming and exhibit the energy and creativity that comes from being fully engaged in what you do.\n\n\n\nSkills & Requirements\n\nIoT / Mobile Device Builder with Full Stack Experience -  We built our own in-memory database and distributed data analytics pipeline from the ground up with funding from DARPA, and we also build distributed IoT sensors to feed data into our production systems for a wide variety of production applications.  We have a team of really talented researchers working on Pattern analysis, Streaming analytics, Spatial queries and Network graph functions that power our visualization and predictive analytics engines and we need additional embedded IoT programmer/hardware designers to complement that team.  We are always looking for practical people who love designing highly optimized systems that straddle the line between research and software development.

\nON BEING A BUILD PIPELINE ENGINEER AT BALENA\n\nWe strongly believe that the state of the art in software development, testing, and deployment is light years behind what it could be. Balena engineers take pride on accomplishing more with less by exponentially increasing their productivity through automation and internal tooling, and we are never afraid to question established software development practices, and pioneer our own, to improve the way we work.\n\nAs a build pipeline engineer, you will be working on our cross-platform in-house continuous integration system; on internal tools that range from automatic versioning based on commit conventions, to automated project landing website generation; and on discussing and implementing innovative deployment tools and processes within the distributed systems world.\n\nA successful build pipeline engineer is a well-rounded generalist and great communicator that take pride on maximizing the output of their team. They are eager to take responsibility for a project, and are able to make good decisions about the project because they have the context of what's important.\n\nWe don't require engineers to already be familiar with the technologies we use. We are happy to invest in people that showcase a strong understanding of the challenges of software development, testing, and deployment along with a willingness to learn and grow.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES\n\n\n* Actively invest back into our own technology, libraries, and frameworks\n\n* Be highly motivated to produce great code\n\n* Maintain the health of our internal build and deployment systems\n\n* Implement and maintain internal tools to improve our in-house build and deploy pipeline\n\n* Identify parts of our development and deployment cycle that can be automated, and push to make that happen\n\n* Challenge orthodoxy when that will help the product evolve\n\n* Design, architect, and own the execution of your projects\n\n* Collaborate, brainstorm, and coordinate work with other teammates\n\n* Understand the high-level goals, and thus know how to prioritize your work\n\n\n\n\nREQUIREMENTS\n\nNeed to have:\n\n\n* Desire to make yourself and others more effective. You'd be bothered by an inefficient process\n\n* Good understanding of software engineering practices and how to apply them\n\n* Excellent written communication skills, and fluency in English\n\n* Self-discipline to take on a project and push it to completion without too much management. You also know when to ask for help\n\n* Highly organized, able to handle many threads at once, and keep things moving\n\n* Strong problem-solving abilities. You know how to split a complex problem into incremental pieces\n\n* Strong programming and software engineering skills\n\n* Good understanding of git, Docker, and shell scripting\n\n\n\n\nNice to have:\n\n\n* A sample of your work (URL or attached sample)\n\n* Contributions to OSS projects (please include a URL)\n\n* Having worked remotely before\n\n* Experience with balena as a user\n\n* Experience with embedded GNU/Linux, anything ranging from personal projects with a Raspberry Pi to commercial or industrial scenarios with custom devices\n\n* Experience with the GitHub API and GitHub Apps Marketplace\n\n* Experience with cross-platform application development (macOS, Windows, and GNU/Linux)\n\n* Experience with Concourse CI and Kubernetes\n\n* Experience in the Node.js and Rust ecosystem\n\n\n\n\nMake sure to let us know if any of these items apply to you!\n\nBENEFITS\n\n\n* Work with an extremely talented, diverse team\n\n* Equipment of your choice\n\n* Remote-friendly\n\n* Flexible working hours\n\n* Generous vacation policy\n\n* Annual company gathering in an international location - this year, Barcelona in October\n\n* We send you hardware for side projects!\n\n\n\n\nABOUT WORKING AT BALENA\n\nWe come from 15+ countries, and we embrace a remote culture with flexible hours. To us, this means being highly productive while still maintaining a healthy work-life balance. You need to be able to work remotely, and have a dependable internet access available so you can join video calls.\n\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity. We value knowledge and initiative more than educational and personal backgrounds, age, or location. We maintain a work environment in which team members are treated with respect at all times and in which thoughts and ideas can be shared openly.\n\nWe communicate proposals, discuss with others in the team and accept feedback if it makes the result better. We value the ability to learn, which is more important to us than knowledge of specific technologies. We know that learning fast means being outside our comfort zone, which is OK -- we'd rather learn than let our assumptions get in our way.\n\nTO APPLY\n\nWe're delighted to hear about you! Send us your CV, with a focus on what you can bring to the team. Please include in your cover letter a paragraph about something you worked on that you found technically appealing or exciting.

\nLife is short...work somewhere awesome.\n\nOur development team is filled with experts with a proven passion for solving nearly impossible problems. You will work with a group of engineers with a plethora of experience building innovative software solutions for global organizations and an insatiable thirst for learning new technologies. As forward thinking technologists, we push the envelope and think outside the box in everything we do.\n\nWe are looking for a Senior Javascript Engineer to join the team who loves to code and build elegant and sophisticated UI’s for our ground breaking applications that have been changing the way doctors and clinicians worldwide interact with and care for their patients.\n\nSkills & Requirements\n\n\n* Coding. Our engineers, no matter what level, never go hands off. We think it’s important to be close to the code and always be a contributor. We work with several different JS technologies, including Angular and Node, as well as Jquery, HTML and CSS. As a senior engineer, we’re looking for a breadth of experience in a lot of technologies, and expertise in various flavors of Javascript. You should also be up to speed with practices like TDD and continuous integration.\n\n* Learning. Our engineering team is full of life-long learners. It’s important to stay up on our craft and always keep an eye on what’s next, and what’s best. Open Source contributions and pet projects are a way of life here, it’s not only about the day job. It’s important we learn from each other.\n\n* Problem solving. The problems we have to solve are mind boggling. Often times, we are challenged with doing something that no other company has done before. This takes critical thinking, root cause analysis and issue dissection by the team to come up with a best solution.\n\n* Mentoring. Teaching and coaching is an integral part of this role. Bringing your less experienced peers up to speed on best practices and new skills/languages is key.\n\n* Delivering. This takes a start-up mentality and a laser focus to get the highest quality products out the door here. We do not negotiate on the level of sophistication and quality we offer to our customers. You must be ready to manage competing priorities, pivot and adjust quickly, and always think the big picture.\n\n\n

\nLife is short...work somewhere awesome.\n\nOur development team is filled with experts with a proven passion for solving nearly impossible problems. You will work with a group of engineers with a plethora of experience building innovative software solutions for global organizations and an insatiable thirst for learning new technologies. As forward thinking technologists, we push the envelope and think outside the box in everything we do.\n\nWe are looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join the team who loves to code and build first of kind, ground breaking applications that have been changing the way doctors and clinicians worldwide interact with and care for their patients.\n\nSkills & Requirements\n\n\n* Coding. Our engineers, no matter what level, never go hands off. We think it’s important to be close to the code and always be a contributor. We work with several different technologies, mostly on the Java stack. As a senior engineer, we’re looking for a breadth of experience in a lot of languages, and expertise in at least one: Java, Javascript, and Ruby are highest on our list. You should also be up to speed with frameworks like Spring, OSGI and Hibernate, and on practices like TDD and continuous integration.\n\n* Learning.

You can work remote as long as you overlap with the U.S. Eastern Time zone.\n\nThis is a great job for someone who loves technology and wants to work on a cool project without big company bureaucracy. As our product evolves and our company grows you will assist us in evaluating new technologies, designing product architecture, and thinking through Internet security issues.\n\nDesign Opinionator. While we won’t ask you to fire up Photoshop, you can certainly help us find JavaScript widgets or CSS tricks that make the site drive better and more fun to use. \nA friendly dev team needs an engineer with leadership quality to make our code quality excel.\n\nWe do have jenkins, automated+human tests & the right mindset - now we need someone to:\n\n* take charge of this area so we can find weak spots and opportunities\n\n* expand what we're doing so we sleep (even) better\n\n\n\nThis is a senior position, but we accept applications from people with limited experience who can convince us that they are the right person for the job.\n\nIn more detail, this is what we think you'll be busy with:\n\n\n* You will maintain our automated build process which is based on the Jenkins Continuous Integration (CI) server.\n\n* You will oversee that testing of our products covers the available functionality and the devices we target. In addition, you ensure that error reports efficiently reach the responsible developer. Here, we need you to interact with automated tests (technologies like selenium, karma and protractor) as well as supervise human testers (black box/white box testing). You might maintain automated tests yourself and/or kick developers who should write them.\n\n* You will also develop metrics other than bugs, for instance speed and availability.\n\n* You will discuss new functionality with the product manager as well as the architect, as we trust you to become an expert of the internal workflows of the product, who can foresee possible problems and bottlenecks. This might lead to some specification writing as well.\n\n* You will communicate with the documentation department so that our docs and user guides are up to date.\n\n\n\n\nFinally, some employment conditions, which should be of interest:\n\n\n* This is a full-time position. We offer flex schedules anywhere from 32h-40h per week.\n\n* We allow remote workers, but for this position we require the applicant to be a Dutch national or possess a Dutch social security number (BSN). EU citizens who have not previously lived in the Netherlands are welcome to apply, but would need to relocate to the Netherlands to obtain a BSN.\n\n\n

\nWe are looking for an experienced C++ programmer to help us build and grow.  Our main focus is processing market data.  Our servers sit between the exchanges and our customers, who use our market data for trading in real-time.  We're not a trading company, but a technology company that serves the Financial Services industry, including trading companies. \n\nWe're a small, agile group of programmers with many years of experience in trading and market data.  We're easy to get along with and we all work together by sharing ideas, challenging each other to learn and grow, and helping each other when we need help.  Ours is a collaborative environment, and we are all on the same team.\n\nAt Pico, you will work on varied and interesting projects.  You might be an expert in a certain area, and you will certainly get to show that expertise off every day, but we believe that the best programmers are the programmers that continuously learn and grow.  You'll be encouraged to branch out and learn new languages and technologies, and to use that knowledge to build new products.  We need immediate help working on code written in C++, but that's is not all you will be given the opportunity to work on.\n\nPico is constantly pushing the boundaries of technology.  Our success in this industry demands that we live on the bleeding edge of tech.  As a programmer with Pico, you will have access to the latest hardware and software money can buy, and you'll learn how to make it sing.\n\nSince Pico was founded in 2009, the firm has experienced tremendous growth.  Right now, we believe we are poised to explode with a brand-new Next Generation server product that we anticipate will take the industry by storm.\n\nWe are very excited about what we're building.  If you get excited about learning new tech, helping your teammates grow and prosper, and love building successful products, we would love to talk with you.
